GORUCK GR2 Review (One Year Test) | Pack Hacker
If you’re looking for a (nearly) bomb proof bag and have no problem acquiring heavier weight for a nearly indestructible bag, the GORUCK GR2 is a good option for you. If you’re looking for an even larger one, check out our thoughts on the GR3.

Long Term Use Goruck Gear Review
I am also somewhat shocked they have not targeted the dog walker community a bit more as anyone walking a dog should just go ahead and throw a ruck on (every calorie counts). In conclusion, thanks for reading my review!

GORUCK X Carryology Dynema Pack
Except when we travel and use our GR2s, I only use my v1 Rucker for EDC (I prefer chucking my work laptop in the main compartment rather than fussing with a separate zippered compartment) and my wife uses her GR1. They are great and broken in nicely and we have no need for other bags. Other than damaging my wife's clothing, we have no complaints.

M81 Rucker
That being said the Rucker can work great for everyday carry even with a laptop. I'd test it out and see if it works for you... You never know it might be perfect.

Bullet or Rucker 3.0?
But between the Rucker and Bullet, I would come down on whatever you think you might additionally use the bag for. The Rucker would be great if you plan to do more exercise with it. The Bullet makes for a great day bag to pack when traveling.
Sternum Strap
Check out fjallraven. I have one on my Rucker and It has worked great. Has a removable whistle

I took it hiking and wasn’t a fan though. It’s not that great with less than 20lbs IMO. I have other day packs for hiking but now that I’m in the GORUCK hemisphere I like to test out the bags.

Homemade Rucksack
Worked fine for my first event. By then, I'd seen actual GORUCK rucks firsthand and determined they were worth the money.

Sale 26L GR1 or upcoming 25L Rucker?
For events, go with the Rucker. The side handles, lumbar support, 210D, stiffer frame sheet, elevated plate pocket, and drain holes make it an easy decision.

Back at it
I spent most of last year focused on running and had loaned out my Rucker to a friend who wanted to try it out. He didn’t end up enjoying it that much and I’m wanting to reduce my running mileage and start adding back some rucking.
