 So if you get someone moving too quick and the primary camera has a blurry face, it can merge in the faster sharper face from the ultrawide camera into your shot. Automatically, i mean that's, you kind of just never have blurry faces in your photos overall, just as someone who's used now, both of these phones for a couple weeks, iphone's camera system is better than the pixels. It just is right. Now it doesn't it's more consistent

 It has great dynamic range, great stabilization and that big sensor is giving you real background blur and impressively staying in focus most of the time and in some of these harder scenes you can definitely see the processing working like here when it's trying to bring up the Shadows, it's pretty noisy but still overall color and exposure and white balance and the details are all great with the pixel 6's video and i'm really happy to see that and then another thing i noticed the pixel really cranks iso all the way up in the viewfinder. So you can see a lot of noise before you snap a photo and start the processing, like it's very easy to see this here in a screen recording. But that's what it's doing you can see in a selfie viewfinder, especially it'll. Look super jacked up and really noisy just to keep a high frame rate and shutter speed when you're taking the selfie and then you take it and you see it process and then everything sharpens up and it looks miles better

Pixel 6/6 Pro Review: Almost Incredible!

 I figured I'd try the Pixel, having a few friends who love their older Pixels.  The good stuff first:  (+) The camera is truly amazing. I have a professional DSLR and I can say that this is by far the best phone camera I've ever used. The S9 was great, but it had some issues with artifaction and contrast

OnePlus has notoriously awful customer service and the phone wasn't water resistant, so that was a dealbreaker for me, and then Huawei was too expensive and had at least the threat of compatibility issues. I figured I'd try the Pixel, having a few friends who love their older Pixels.  The good stuff first:  (+) The camera is truly amazing

 Not sure how they swung this but I guess Google would have it figured out.  (+) Battery life is good. I can get through the entire day of moderate use without charging it until I go to bed. With heavy use, I imagine I'll have to charge it before then, so I'll see how it goes on a few upcoming trips, but my S9 wasn't able to hold a charge past noon on a good day, so it's a huge improvement there

So close, Google! And yet.

I've come to the Pixel 6 from an LG G6, which I really liked. I was happy with the camera, but its OS was dated and the battery was near its end, so it was time to switch. My wife just bought a new Samsung phone, and she wasn't thrilled with it. I'm just a little concerned about the potential for Chinese spyware, and other bad actors on the web, so I'm happy to have the Pixel's extended security and OS upgrades

Still a lot to learn

 It's a better overall camera system. But this, the hardware is so good in the pixels and you can see that promise in those 10 out of 10 shots that the pixel fan in me is like hoping. maybe in one or two software updates it'll be a 10 out of 10 more often.   The display does not allow for 144hz and 1440p at the same time. It's kind of a bummer, but I'm just excited to finally leave my 60hz life behind.  Opening a couple of games, this phone performs extremely well, but I did find it odd that it did not allow for higher graphics options on games like Genshin Impact or Diablo Immortal, since it defaulted these games to high graphics rather than highest (not that I play waifu simulator or Diablo Immoral, but I did need to benchmark my credit card somewhere).  Lastly, this may be just my shipment, but the cord did not work for transferring data from my old Note 8 to the S20

Between the refresh rate, battery, AMOLED HDR display (boasting 1400 nits of brightness) , stereo speaker audio, 12gb ram, security/software updates (for at least another couple of years at the time of writing), this phone is absolutely killer.  The refurbished part scared me at first, as I normally buy all my devices new, but I have no complaints here. My device genuinely feels brand new

Comparing this device to all the current budget phones from Google, Apple, Samsung, Nord, Moto, TCL, etc., this device seems to be the best value for the price. Best new budget phone by far!

I'm also disappointed by the S20 Ultra's (I have the Exynos version) battery life. It's ok, but far from great. Even when just sitting on the couch or doing miniscule things like streaming music over Bluetooth, the battery seems to drain a lot faster than it should.

It can't compete because its available in 5 countries only... As soon as iPhone 13 was ~~released~~ announced i got ads from my local retailers that it will be available on day one of the release.

Pixel needs some serious marketing and availability, otherwise it will always be enthusiast phone.

I laughed when the article said the pixel 6 pro was the closest to the iPhone in terms of competition.

Most people I know don't even know google makes (ever made) phones. I truly find the pixel 6 an interesting flagship (even tho I am not buying flagships anymore because its not worth it).

It brings actual competition to the real iPhone competitor, the galaxy s lineup. Now they offer similiar (maybe even better) software support, samsung 3 major releases +1 more of security while google could do 4+1. The hardware is finally up to date and it justifies the price more than its precedecessors did, flagship components for flagship price.

IMO google will have a real hard time at the high end segment, mostly occupied by very loyal iphone customers and fought against by samsung with their s series. Sure some phone/tech enthusiasts here and there but not enough to make it profitable.
I would say the best bet for google is to take what oneplus left, enthusiasts that look for the best bang for the buck. Make the pixel a series the pixel and cut off the premium lineup. Gain market share and spread the word and the pull off a move a la oneplus, make them premium again and betray the enthusiasts that funded you.

If we like your phone, decent specs, excellent software experience and optimization for a fair price, we will push everyone we know to buy one, not because we want you to take our money, but because we want our friends and family to get an excellent experience with a human price.

Oh and also, maybe start fucking sell the damn device in more than 3 countries wtf
