 Connecting to them individually in their web GUI show they're all connected to each other between 3100-3400mbps or just over 3 gigabits. Latency across devices on different access points to the main router do not show any noticeable increases, maybe 0.5-1.5ms increase when using throughput software via wifi

 The first living room unit lasted maybe two weeks before I returned it, and the replacement living room unit lasted maybe 4-5 weeks before problems began. So I am working on returning/replacing the living room unit again, and hopefully the 3rd unit is as reliable as the units I have installed in the office and bedroom.

 Overall, they work good when they work.  What do I mean "when they work"? Well, my living room unit kept freezing or just slowing down to a crawl below 4mbit. Checking what the other MoCA adapters "see" the living room unit connected at remain unchanged, just over 3gbps. However, doing a network throughput behind the access point in the living room fluctuates between 3-10mbps, averaging around 4mbps

 The kicker is that the problem is yet again in the living room. The office and bedroom units have been going strong this whole time for the past couple of months. The first living room unit lasted maybe two weeks before I returned it, and the replacement living room unit lasted maybe 4-5 weeks before problems began. So I am working on returning/replacing the living room unit again, and hopefully the 3rd unit is as reliable as the units I have installed in the office and bedroom

I was SHOCKED!!

 I have 500 Mbps through my ISP.  In the extension part of the house is my family den room and its a huge dead zone for any type of wireless communication. I have tried the Netgear X6, the Netgear X8, range extenders, powerline adapters. The Netgear router signals barely gave me a signal and the range extenders did nothing as well

  I just wanted to share my story and vouch for how awesome Eero has been for me and coupled with these MoCA 2.5 adapters, I dont see myself making any changes for a long time. If you're battling dead zones or are looking to improve wireless speeds, these GoCoax adapters are godsend if you don't want to do ethernet cable runs and have coax cabling throughout your house. They work tremendously better than powerline adapters!!

 This gave me speeds of 240 - 280 Mbps. Again, not bad at all. Then this past Friday, I caught an old reddit post on the joys of MoCA adapters and how GoCoax makes a great inexpensive one. After doing a ton of research, it made sense to purchase 2 of these adapters and try them out since I recently just pulled the plug on cable TV service and now have unused coax ran to most rooms in my house

 I now achieve 580 - 600 Mbps in my dead zone as well as throughout the entire house now. I really could afford to get rid of half of my Eero equipment and just keep the 2 Eero Pros now that they are both hardwired together via the MoCA bridge.  I just wanted to share my story and vouch for how awesome Eero has been for me and coupled with these MoCA 2.5 adapters, I dont see myself making any changes for a long time

This is the current setup for the house: 

2 Duplex sides, each side is 2002 square feet and has 4 bedrooms. Each needs a hardline port and WiFi. 

We have one ISP, COX. We will be opting for the Gigablast plan at 940 Down and 35 Up.

8  TP-Link TL-SG108 8-PORT 10/100/1000 Gigabit Desktop Switch, one for each room.

2 ASUS RT-AX3000 Dual Band Gigabit Wireless AX Router w/AiMesh Support, using each of its four ports for each switch. One on each side of the duplex. 

1 Motorola MG8702 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem Plus AC3200 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router, this has four ethernet ports, I think I connect both routers to this. 

Cat 6 wiring for the entire setup. 

Is this the right way to go? Is there any glaring errors in my shopping list?

I just set up a Motorola MB8611 (2.5 Gbps) a few days ago. It stays cool and is rock solid so far.

Looking for advice to upgrade my modem for internet thru my provider. Been researching and leery after reading reviews on netgear and arris modems and faulty chips and such. Is it all hit or miss and all brands have duds that fail?  Not opposed to getting a modem /router combo. But if modem part faults i am out the router and vice versa. 

My isp only offers up to 1 gbps and i am probably only going up to 400 mbps for now. They told me it 400 mbps wont work until i got docsis3.1

Since we are upgrading our speeds constantly, these types of comms can come out from time to time. The Motorola MB8611 is definitely an advanced mode and able to handle our up to 1.2GBs download speeds.

Got this email today. It includes a link to suggested devices, and one of those is the very modem I'm currently using: Motorola MB8611.  It supports DOCSIS 3.1, and my actual  speed is \~1Gbps down, \~40 Mbps up (mostly limited by the age of the CPU in the connected Linux box).

I am rocking my isp's router (TalkTalk) and My PC doesn't get the best coverage - I am mainly concerned about lags that occur from time to time and when I am hosting games my friend complains it's laggy as well. 

Basically I have a few devices connected to the router directly (TV, xbox, smart speaker), in the future I might add another 1 or 2 more.

The next room is my daughter's PC and of course I am in the most prominent place at home - right in the corner.

Obviously we have 4 phones in use, 1 more smart speaker via WiFi and a termomix via WiFi as well. 

Can you please advise what should I do? I know ethernet cable would be the best solution but it's out of question (unless a last resort). Would I need to invest in a mesh or a better router instead?

I am in UK and look at no more than 200 to invest.
