The Gigabyte G27Q is the best budget 1440p 144Hz monitor that we've tested. It's feature-rich, and even though it provides a great gaming performance, it's versatile enough for other uses. AMD certifies it to have native FreeSync support, and G-SYNC also works with NVIDIA graphics cards.

It performs best when gaming at its max refresh rate because it has an extremely quick response time, and the response time is still decent at 60Hz, but more motion blur trail is visible behind fast-moving objects. The picture quality is good, thanks to the excellent gray uniformity, great peak brightness, wide color gamut, and good out-of-the-box accuracy. Its IPS panel also has wide viewing angles if you want to use it for co-op gaming.

Unfortunately, it has somewhat limited ergonomics since it doesn't offer swivel adjustments, though you can still tilt it and adjust the height. It has an optional backlight strobing feature to try to reduce persistence blur. However, it only works within a narrow range, and you can't use it at the same time as VRR. Also, like any IPS panel monitor, it has a low contrast ratio and doesn't have a local dimming feature. If you're not going to use it for dark room gaming, it's the best 1440p 144Hz monitor in the budget category.

The best monitor for coding in the budget category that we've tested is the Gigabyte G27Q. Overall, it's a good office monitor with wide viewing angles, a great 1440p resolution, and a 27 inch size that delivers good text clarity. Visibility in a bright room isn't an issue, as it has great peak brightness and good reflection handling, so it can easily overcome glare. Like all monitors on this list, the backlight is completely flicker-free at all brightness settings, which is great.

It has great connectivity, with a built-in USB hub, but it doesn't offer any USB-C ports, so you'll need an adapter if you're working from a laptop that doesn't offer any full-sized HDMI or DisplayPort connections. It has excellent gray uniformity and good accuracy out of the box, as well as an outstanding color gamut, great if your work often includes design elements that rely on accurate, uniform colors.

 The last time we took a standalone look at the 1440p market was in july of 2021 and it's fair to say a few. Things have changed since then in terms of monitor releases and pricing. So this video will serve as an update with fresh information recommendations for the early parts of 2022.  Here in australia, i'd say it's 500 aussie price tag is better than average. Having tested the g32 qc, we will be getting a good look at how two monitors within the same family, just with different display sizes can differ in performance. We rarely get this sort of opportunity, so i think there will be some interesting lessons. If you don't like the curved screen or narrow viewing angles on the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T, this is an excellent choice as it has a flat screen and wide viewing angles. It also has excellent ergonomics, making it easy to place in an ideal viewing position.

It won't have any issues with 1080p signals from the PS4, and it downscales 4k @ 60Hz signals to 1440p, meaning you can use it with the PS4 Pro too. If you only use the monitor for text processing or browsing the web, go with the ASUS because it has better ergonomics, better viewing angles, and a USB-C port. If you need a wide color gamut or HDR support, go with the MSI.

Overall, it's a well-rounded monitor that performs well at almost anything, and it's an impressive choice for office use.

The best Xbox Series S monitor for co-op gaming we've tested is the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. It has the same 1440p resolution as the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T, which makes it a good choice for the Series S, and you won't have any issues playing 1440p games up to 120 fps from the console on it.

It's better for co-op gaming because it has wider viewing angles, so the image remains accurate when viewing from the sides. If you like your games to look extra colorful, the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD is the best gaming monitor for your rig. This monitor posted the widest color gamut we&rsquo;ve ever recorded: 112.19% of DCI-P3 after our recommended calibration. 90% of DCI-P3 would be impressive, so this is one color-saturated screen. 
Contrast is also strong for an IPS panel, hitting 1,129.1:1 after our calibration. And for those concerned about speed, this 165 Hz screen kept up with the 170 Hz Gigabyte M27Q in our testing 
Color purists, however, will lament the lack of an sRGB mode, considering the MAG274QRF-QD&rsquo;s sRGB coverage is at 166.33%. Its backlight strobe for fighting motion blur is also a disappointment. You can&rsquo;t use Adaptive-Sync with it, the brightness goes down by about 50% and it created ghosting that resulted in a parallax effect with fast motion. In addition, this is yet another gaming monitor to offer HDR but without any noticeable image boost over SDR.
But if you can get past those caveats, you&rsquo;ll enjoy the most colorful monitor to ever hit our lab.

 This monitor's color accuracy produces an average delta e of 4.6 and with the lack of color modes for srgb, adobe, rgb or p3, there's no way to clamp the color gamut, so things will be saturated and also inaccurate. If you are a professional you'll want to get this monitor calibrated because calibrating it yields basically perfect results. If you're, just a general user who just wants to play, games, consume media or do some basic color work, then you should be happy with the out of the box performance

 Here. It’s got a 165Hz refresh rate and MSI are claiming a 1ms GTG response, time. Combined with adaptive sync meaning you can use either FreeSync with a Radeon graphics card or G-Sync with Nvidia it’s got some nice sounding features for gaming that I’ll put to the test.

Get a 1440p 144hz monitor only once you upgrade, you won’t get good FPS in 1440p let alone 4K. Make sure you grab at least a 3060 ti for 1440p. I wouldn’t get the Lg27GL850, the nano IPS is outdated. \- My computer isn't all too powerful, I got it about 3yrs ago and it has a GTX 1050 2GB and an 8th Gen Core i5 8400. However, I will probably get a new one in the next few years.

\- I sit about 25" away from my monitor which is currently a 1080p 24"

\- I like video editing, and I'm wondering if a 4k monitor could help with that in the future.

\- I also like gaming, but I don't think I will be able to get a lot of use out of a high refresh rate monitor because of my computer. Granted, I wouldn't be able to run in 4k either but at least I could play 1080p with it being scaled improperly.

Can't choose between a high refresh rate with lower quality or low refresh rate and high quality

I first wanted the LG 27GL850-B, then I heard that the Dell S2721DGF was just slightly better, for the same price (both at $400 currently). Then, a third option I was made aware of, which is the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. This seems to have much better contrast ratio than the other options, so I think it's worth the extra $40.

 So definitely in the high end range for these specs and a competitor to the lg and dell monitors. I mentioned there's also going to be a model without the dash qd, in other words, without the quantum dot element to this display at a lower price, but i'm not 100 sure how the panels differ otherwise or what panel it's using. So today's review is of the dash qd model anyway, which is the first to hit retail shelves, and i think it'll be coming later this month. In most places, the design msi using here is pretty standard for them, so it won't blow you away with stunning aesthetics, but it gets the job done
