I have the Gerber Armbar and it's not a bad little multi tool. It has a nice design that is easily carried in my pocket. The tools are easily deployed. And the choice of tools was a good one on Gerber's part

The screwdriver needs to be locked and the blade needs sharpening shortly after purchase. Overall it is good for the price.

Gerber has a very good idea with this multi tool. The only problem is where and how to carry it. It is too large for a key chain, no clip for a pocket carry and too heavy to drop into your pocket. This of course is my opinion

Not ideal multi tool

 Right now I’m rocking a suspension clip in between the frame and the main blade and it is definitely not perfect but I am making it work. Once I get a split ring that will fit it should be good to go but right now the clip slightly interferes with the main blade deployment and retraction. To sum it up, if the driver locked and it had a lanyard ring (maybe instead of the awl) it would be a home run for me.

 The main blade locks and it has a full size bit driver. I wouldn’t lean on the driver too much because it does not lock and to be honest the spring is very weak. However it is still very useful once you figure out that you have to hold it by the pivot or it will close on you. The lockup on the main blade works great on my unit

Good casual EDC

 I also really like the pry/hammer portion in the bottom of the handle. I use the multi tools for this all of the time and I am glad someone planned on me doing that.

The driver really does need a lock

 It doesn’t have you a bunch of useless tools and I’m never going to need. The weight is good, it feels solid without being cumbersome. I like the prybar feature, I haven’t seen it before and when I read about it in the product description, I was skeptical, but it is well executed and useful.  The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of a lock on the screwdriver

Just short of perfect

I love the size of this. If doesn't take a lot of room in my pocket. The tools are really useful for my everyday needs.  All I ever need on a given day is something to cut open a box with or to tighten or loosen a screw on something

 As you can see, I was able to do that with one one finger in one hand, the lock up is is good, but not great. There is a little bit of wobble, but it's not something. I think that you'll be concerned with over time does come with 1/2 serrations. This is a, I believe, a 420hc steel blade as far as sharpness

5. The opening and closing of the handles is super stiff like when I'm closing with a blade out to try and get a better grip I'm seriously at risk of slipping and cutting my hand open.

I’ve owned a few of the higher end Leatherman’s and I’m pretty disappointed in the fit and finish of this model. The pocket clip is loose and the overall feel of it feels cheaply made. The spring loaded pliers are a nice feature, but that too feels cheap. I got it for an emergency bag, so hopefully it won’t see a lot of use, because I don’t think it would take it

Their page says "If we can’t repair it, we’ll replace it with a comparable refurbished model" I don't think a Wingman is comparable to a PST, and even disregarding the actual PST model they have on sale right now the Rebar is a better comparison, both size, tool and quality/price wise no?

Warranty claimed my PST, got an email that they'll replace it with a wingman.

I use it daily for 3 years and there is not a single loose string or tear. I machine wash it bi weekly and it just hold. Great product!

 It is way too heavy to carry in a pocket, so a pouch is a must. Now I have to send it back. I'll get the entry level Gerber, which is five dollars more - $5 that go towards the pouch, no doubt.

Great tool - but beware, it has no pouch

Basic is good

 In my opinion this may indicate poor quality control, poor design or both. On this basis I would not recommend this product and will be replacing it with a better made brand of multitool.
