 It'S got a nice grill totally fully magnetic and when you get under the grill, you can see it's quite the nice looking speaker as well. There is a leather facing on this, so it's got a very high-class feel to it that inverted dome. Tweeter has a nice little case around it.  With the flax now this is a flax comb. Interesting, I think folk al is the only company in the world, that's using flax as a material to build combs with, but they stand by its resiliency, it's lightweight more so than fiberglass, and it does the job quite nicely. I got to tell you if the outcome of using flax and combs is a speaker that sounds as good and as clean as this one does across the entire range sign me up. Focal Aria 906 Speakers Blogger Review

 Focals are the best in pop, alternative, and rock, and they have a pleasant soundstage. My friend and I did a blind test, and we picked different speakers as our best choice for different songs.  I read in the past that Focal Aria 906s have a bright sound, but I didn’t find them to be harsh or bright at all. If anything, they are very buttery! Both KEF and Paradigm are much brighter with less bass

 I think 906's bass is more refined, buttery, and blended. However, if you crossover 905s, they would be as good! Without a subwoofer and if you can stomach the larger speaker, go with 906. If you have a sub already, then there is a tiny bit advantage with the slightly bigger soundstage that 906 produces, but it's not too obvious. Overall, Focal did a very good job with Aria line, and no wonder why they are using the same woofer materials (flax) in the new Kanta series, with their amazing beryllium tweeters, and eliminating the Electra line altogether

 If you have a sub already, then there is a tiny bit advantage with the slightly bigger soundstage that 906 produces, but it's not too obvious. Overall, Focal did a very good job with Aria line, and no wonder why they are using the same woofer materials (flax) in the new Kanta series, with their amazing beryllium tweeters, and eliminating the Electra line altogether. Nice Buttery Sound that is Perfect for Music in a Relatively Huge Cabinet

I sold the OG and bought the Aria 906, while not quite as light footed and revealing as the LS50 they were definitely an improvement in overall low end and were so ridiculously enjoyable I didn’t worry about the loss of resolution 

After getting rid of the OG Ls50 because of their lack of low end presence (I did get nearly there with a sub but don’t really have the room for one, it’s that bad)

It’s happened again! But there’s been worse ways to spend a Wednesday evening

 Until now.  The Focal Aria have a wow factor that nothing else I've tried have. Crystal clear definition, great midrange,vand bass whilst punchy rather than deep, has a presence in the room I haven't seen from other speakers of similar specs.  Imaging and soundstage second to none - including the Elac's ( one of their outstanding features) and the ability to play all Genres of music respectably

Why spend over £500 in speakers? This is why....

I have the Aria 906 speakers and absolutely love them. Focal really knew what they were doing when designing these. The mid range and treble detail is out of its class in this price range. Superbly flat and detailed without being at all fatiguing

Mid range is a funny one with the Aria's, it's super smooth and detailed and resolute, allowing so much air, space and separation between instruments. Sometimes this is absolutely their biggest strength for all of those reasons I've just mentioned. However sometimes I almost find this can be a shortfall, whereby lead vocals or instruments can almost sound like they're mixed lower than the secondary or backing parts. It's hard to explain but it's almost like with the increased width and soundstage your trade off with having a decrease in focus and directivity

I have their baby brothers in the form of the Aria 906 and they have a wonderfully detailed and articulate sound.

For me the biggest positive about the Aria's sound is not it's frequency response but it's width and sound stage. I actually find them to sound better without any toe in towards the listening position, but rather pointing straight forwards past your ears. Give it a go and see how it effects the stereo image, I think the waveguides on the tweeters have a big part to play in this.

Nice find. Beautiful speakers. Wife will get used to them. They'll shrink when you get a rug and some other accessories.

New Speakers

 It produced very clean natural mirrors that are you want? If you really want to hear what the you know, your music and produce, let's say if you are so used to our British design speakers like me, the mirror age is a little bit flat, but you know in my mind, because I have to put that in Account because, because I'm so used to British design, monitors and Bookshare speakers, they tend to produce a little bit forward. Me range than the other speakers. So this one is a great, clean natural sounding mid range, with great music notes, like very clearly reproduced for your music enjoyment. These performance, this one, is not impressive, something left to desire for me because pieces, you know given the size and price and the driver size, it should be producing a bit more piece, because this one is only rated for 55 Louis

 In the United States or wherever you know, those things are going for $ 1,500 $ 1,500 $ 2,000. This one is a bargain if you compare them to because you get made in friend's piano glass on the top leather wrap, 300 veneer and highly famous very popular. You know inverted dog breeders only if this can produce same amount of bass. I will keep this one over 7 or 6 s 2

 So this is the speaker that you get. What you pay for $ 1,500 is reasonable price when is discounted for $ 1,000 is a bargain, so I can totally highly recommend to anyone that wants great sounding musical, clean and natural sounding speakers. So this is a one good speaker that you can have at this moment at this price. If you are looking for speaker in this price range, please give them audition give them try

Focal Aria 906 Speaker Review

So Richersounds have kindly loaned me the Audiolab 6000A and Cambridge CXA61 to compare to my existing set up.

 With quieter more derailed and exposed music, the DacMagic Plus adds a level of width and depth and spacial separation that the two Sabre DACs can't match. They sound very narrow and almost mono in comparison. The difference is so great that it's actually made me wonder if my DacMagic Plus is faulty and there some phasing issues going on with it!?

Now the speakers I'm using are Focal Aria 906 and I picked these after extensive A/B listening at home again for their very wide and holographic soundstage which others couldn't match. So perhaps these and the DacMagic Plus just really compliment each other?

I’ve owned discreet components and monitors from JBL (now Samsung), Magneplanar and heralded Unity Audio. I love my Sony speakers, the same ones you have here, plus the matching Sony Centre channel. Personally I'm happy. Considering I'm broke, I don't know how much better the more expensive ones would have been for me at the end of the day really.

Budget 5.25” speaker battle revisited! After spending some more time with all of these, my perspective has changed a little. Any thoughts on which ones you think would be your favorites? I’ll give my opinion after I get some of you to chime in.

  Also, I was upset that Amazon did not double box these speakers. They shipped in the JBL product box only, and the box arrived moderately damaged by UPS, with a gaping large hole in the corner, and one speaker corner exposed! Luckily, the speakers themselves were not (apparently) damaged. SHAME on Amazon for not double-boxing these speakers!  Lastly, I listen with the grilles off, and with the included contoured horn fittings in place. To me, these speakers look like a work of art! Unique and gorgeous, to say the least

The media could not be loaded. I recently read all the positive online reviews of the JBL Studio 530, and couldn't wait for the price to come down more. I just HAD to have a pair of true horn-loaded speakers in my stable, having lusted over these for weeks! I could tell there was something special about these speakers, just by some of the passionate reviews, as well as the British 'WhatHiFi' magazine 5 star review (I also considered the DALI Zensor 1 or Zensor 3). I am a stereo equipment and music junkie/audiophile, with 7 stereo systems currently hooked up throughout my modest home (I know, i'm nuts!), often interchanging equipment and speakers amassed over the years to experiment with sound

 This was about a year ago. I'm only up to the E's so far, but oh what a pleasure to be immersed in the glorious sound emanating forth from these wondrous horn-loaded speakers! I've been driving them with both solid state as well as tubed amplification (I change back and forth from time to time as an obsessed audiophile), and the sound is truly high-end. Timbral accuracy, detail, sound attack and decay, well balanced, tight bass, air.

Unique and gorgeous, to say the least. I noticed that the grilles have the JBL logo, but when they're off, there is no way to tell the brand. I wish JBL would have provided a nice quality (perhaps thin metal) stick-on of their JBL logo to put in that small recessed area on the bottom of the 530's
