That being said, sometimes a small, lightweight bag is all you really want or need. Big enough to fit a laptop, a few notebooks, pens, pencils, and your phone, this bare-bones option has room for all your essentials but not much else. We were surprised by how well this pack could shoulder heavier weight with no back padding and narrow shoulder straps. That being said, we wouldn't want to carry heavy loads for extended periods.
When it comes down to it, this is a small bag with minimal padding. If that's what you are looking for, this bag is great, especially for the price. If you want something that can hold every last thing you may or may not need, this bag might be underwhelming. It's ideal for a first school budget backpack for young children and would also serve adults in carrying their essentials for a trip to the coffee shop.

I had a geology field camp for my school and I needed a pack for everything when we had to go on some vigorous hikes and this came in handy. It can fit a decent amount of stuff and not feel too heavy because elf the weight distribution. However, there are two things I noticed. I’m disappointed that the side pockets weren’t bigger for my big water bottle

I had a avid hiker take a look at my new pack, he thought it was good. Perhaps a bit on the smaller side, but it is only called a 40L. The mesh backing is nice. (If you've run a backpack blower think of the air vents running through that

 It has plenty of pockets and storage. The main pocket is large and has a place to hand a water bladder. There are plenty of little storage places around the pack to put all the gear I would need for most outings. I like the way it fit and it was easy to adjust to fit my shoulders and waist
