I just bought my boyfriend the Herschel Chapter Travel Kit Carry-On 3L size. He absolutely loves it and it's surprisingly spacious for how compact it is. It has a few inside pockets and one outer zip pocket. I also think it's more aesthetically appealing than some of the other more utilitarian options posted here

I am looking for a **slim** toiletry pouch and I thought to ask here for your recommendations.

I have already checked some popular options and I like the aer travel kit, but I am not sure if I should get something even smaller for just the essentials or something larger to include, for example, a trimmer for longer trips. 

What are your preferred sizes for toiletry pouches? I know this is down to personal preference but I am struggling to decide.

 The zippers aren't smooth and the larger opening doesn't have two zippers, it also doesn't have a side pocket for water bottle or umbrella. This is a really basic, bare boned backpack, so the only reason you're paying 50 dollars is the brand name and the look of it. It's just cute, not function at all

 On the gray backpack (same style and brand) that my sister had ordered several months ago it had the same gold color that matched the picture. So would it be unreasonable to expect gold zippers on my backpack? Now I may be nit-picky, but for the money I paid, I wasn't expecting cheapy looking, DIRTY brass zippers. Now the backpack has lost the selling point I was initially going in for. The backpack isn't particularly voluminous, but I was willing to sacrifice that for the stylish gold zippers

  The dimensions for the height say in one spot on the item description 18" and in the other 17"; it is actually only 16.5" according to the tag attached to it and my own precise measurements. So anyone looking for more than a medium sized backpack, look elsewhere! You'll be disappointed with this.  I had ordered the black backpack

  Lastly, the pictures for the black has several closeups of the gold zippers, making it seem not a problem with the lighting, but with the model I received. I have no idea if I'll be able to make an impact, or if Herschel even cares enough to do something about this. AT least change the picture if you're going to send me a downgraded model, or decrease the price because arguably a gold colored, polished, pretty metal is better than brass in terms of aesthetics. I especially wanted that gold metal/black contrast

  So far thats my only downside to this bag. We'll see how it hold up when I take it to class and how comfortable it is riding with it on my bike.

I bought this because I needed a backpack to carry my laptop/literature/small samples for work travels. This is so much more comfortable than your usual messenger bag for laptops. Things are secured and safe with great foam lining. The backpack is also sophisticated looking enough to not make it seem like you are just on your way to a class in school

Love this backpack! So sturdy and the pattern inside is so so cute. The front pocket is really handy and I like that the laptop pocket in the backpack is really easy to slide your laptop into. I also find this backpack incredibly comfy, I used it on a few hikes as a day pack recently and it didn’t bother me at all! The big zippers are a nice look too. Hopefully it lasts a long time, I’ve only had it for about a month

I like it so far!

 The backpack has a large pocket where your laptop is supposed to fit. The elastic opening for that pouch would be good for a 13" MacBook pro if it's NOT in a sleeve. I like to keep my laptop in a sleeve, so I've been putting the laptop in the main compartment as it's easier to access. I use the smaller laptop pocket for file folders and other flat items (since it's pressed against your back)
