Epiphone Thunderbird vs Yamaha BB435

It's OK. I found it needed set up, which is not unusual, and some of the finishing on the fretboard was a bit rough. Generally the E-Thunderbird is decent enough to play, and the pick-ups are OK, and the metalwork is good quality. For the money, it's quite good value, though it might need some adjustment

You get an alder body with a maple neck and a rosewood fretboard; already uncommon these days when you have manufacturers charging you much more for basses made with poplar bodies. Folks, poplar is not a tone wood and it is only fit for making bookshelves in your kid’s bedroom. However, what really impresses me about this bass is the build quality, the playability and the tone; it’s a great bass by any measure. I was originally planning on replacing the pickups but it was not necessary, the stock pickups sound great
