Denon A110 isn't worth $5600. The X8500HA is $4500 while being virtually identical. The $3000 X6700H is only 11 channel out of the box, but you can run 13 channels by adding an external amp. Something like a Crown XLS1502 for $500 would give more than ample power

Of those 3 options, option #2 is closest to what I would go with for your room size and use case. There are definitely some things I would change out though in this configuration, and I just want to emphasize that option #3 with the MartinLogan ESL's would not be good since that type of speaker is VERY location specific and picky for good sound.

Back to option #2, here are the suggestions I have that you may want to look into further:

* **Center Channel** \- At this budget and room layout, the small R2c is not going to provide what you're going for in my opinion. You need to move up to the much more expensive Reference 2 or 4 if going with KEF in my opinion. If this requires losing budget somewhere else, I would look at shaving some from the $4800 (6) in-ceiling speakers for a cheaper option.
* **Reciever** \- Again, back to the budget and room layout... for arguments sake, let's say you're set on the R11's + Reference 2 for your front stage - I would want those 3 speakers on external amplification at a minimum. I would strongly consider looking at what pricing you can get for an [AudioControl XR-6](https://www.audiocontrol.com/home-audio/immersive-av-receivers/concert-xr-6/) and add the necessary external amplification of your choosing to it. You would also be gaining FULL DIRAC Live & Dirac Live Bass Control for your room correction and bass management, which is a far far superior solution than Denon's Audyssey XT32 offering.
* **Subwoofers** \- plain and simple, SVS's options are outclassed when you get to the PB-16 Ultra price range. This isn't to say they aren't good subwoofers and have great performance... Just that there are better options for the money. As an example, you can get DUAL [PSA V18 IPAL's](https://www.powersoundaudio.com/products/v18-ipal?variant=32368032219225) or [TV 1812's](https://www.powersoundaudio.com/products/TV1812?variant=31967307792473) for $3900.

<div class="md">Of those 3 options, option #2 is closest to what I would go with for your room size and use case. I've been trying to plan out a new home theater build for my new place. The room dimensions are 27x14, with a built in riser in the back for the second row of seats. I still have to do some measuring to make sure everything would fit, but I have three setups I was considering. I was hoping to collect some thoughts on it and see how or if I could improve it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Use case is about 50% gaming 50% movies/tv.

You need to come into speaker config and make sure these are set to either small or large, not none, cannot be set to none.  As far as your digital features go, you've got a lot of HDMI inputs in this box. One of those is HDMI 2.1 for 8K at 60Hz pass-through, or for 4K at 120Hz. So this will play nice with a new PS5 or Xbox One X

 I still can't believe how they've managed to get that kind of impressive sound out of a soundbar, and how that little subwoofer (less than half the size of one of my SVS subs) handles the LFE so effectively. I'm going to be recommending this setup to anyone and everyone.

 Apple TV 4K, Panasonic Blu-Ray) appears for a blink before the signal cuts out again for seven seconds.  When I bypass the AVR by inserting an HDMI coupler between the Device-in cable and the Monitor-out cable, these transitions are instantaneous - and the picture is distinctly richer - with no HDMI glitches.  Denon claims that the HDMI "handshake" within the Receiver is normal. Maybe

TV Picture Issues

 For years I've loved how easy Denon makes the receivers to set up. The AV receiver is the most complex device in a home theater, and is quite easy to set up incorrectly. Denon uses their graphical interface to walk you through everything needed to set it up, down to how to connect speaker wires. It helps to ensure that you get the right speaker configuration, that you get your speakers calibrated for the room, that your internet connection is active for streaming audio and firmware updates

1 models were available. After testing the Denon X6700H, am I going to buy it for myself? Most likely I will. It has the HDMI 2.1 features that I need including an 8K input and it has 11 channels of amplification which is what I need for my Dolby Atmos home theater

 They also include a tripod for the microphone that you can build and use for measurements, and it actually works quite well. Odyssey will run through measuring your speakers from between 3 and 8 positions to optimize the sound for your room, but for even more flexibility, I highly recommend using the Odyssey app. Links to this and to all the products in this video can be found in the description below. With the Odyssey app, you still measure with the same microphone, but you control the process with an app on your iOS or Android device

There's also a Marantz variant of it that was just announced that has a little bit better of analog output but I don't know if I'll need that for my home theater. This is an excellent premium A/V Receiver. I have used Yamaha receivers for ages and 2 years ago I got my first Denon receiver AVR-X4500. Denon receivers are very easy to set up using their easy to use their room correction software. I wanted to upgrade to 11

  Amazon has a great price that is $1000 less than the retail price for the 6700 (Thank you Amazon). The receiver arrived in an excellent condition with the packaging intact.  It has a heft to it and heavier that the 4500. Premium built and it is "Made in Japan" After running Audessey and the initial set up the sound is simply AMAZING! Excellent sound stage with extremely detailed sounds from all the channels

Due to the processing power, the 6700 gets hot as its predecessor, but I have an AC Infinity cooling fan on the top of the receiver to keep it cool. An Excellent Future-Proof A/V receiver

 I've been a big fan of Denon particularly over the years because I do think they make really, really good AV receivers that are a great combination of design, features, performance and price. This is no exception because the X6700 is £2,000 so it's a bit cheaper than the Yamaha. It has 11 channels built in so you could run 7.1

 So actually whilst it might look intimidating from the rear setting up this AV receiver and getting the best out of it is actually incredibly easy and I do think that Denon has the best user interface and setup wizard of any of the manufacturers apart from Rance who are a sister you know a stable mate of Denon so they have basically the same. But it's very well designed. It looks great. It's got a choice of premium silver or black in terms of its finish

 It's got a nice big display that's easy to read which I've got to say the Yamahas, their new design, the display is quite small and not very easy to read at all. Almost feels like an afterthought whereas in the Denon it's a classic design. You've got a volume dial on one side and an input dial on the other and a big display and a drop down flap in the middle. You can't get more classic than that in terms of AVR design

 With my preference going to whichever speakers i just so happen to prefer in a specific application, so next, let's talk about power output, as i mentioned before, it should have enough power to satisfy most people's needs. The critical thing here is that you really do need to pay attention to the manufacturer's recommendation. This receiver is meant for speakers that are rated at six ohms or higher. So that's what you want to stick with

 It has better and more accurate tone. The bass is quicker. The mid-range takes on more of an accurate presentation. The treble is smoother and more refined by direct comparison, it's just a better sounding unit in pretty much every way, but you have to live with this compromise

 So they don't soak up much power from the wall and then they're very small. You can put them just about anywhere, you want in the room and then even beyond that we have distinct sonic advantages. Usually they will sound cleaner. The bass will be more controlled

 There'S much more resolution. It'S a lot more transparent. It has better and more accurate tone. The bass is quicker
