 A little tough figuring it out with Alexa, but loving it.

 AV receiver is fabulous, but on sale makes for even greater value.

 Want rattle windows much, use your powered sub for that.

 Neo and Dolby music slash movie setting makes wonderful sound.

 Android apps, yes you need to, are not very intuitive

 and you need an account on ASTU's and save internet streaming channels.

 Easy to connect. Quality sound. A lot of power.

 Many inputs. I had an issue with the connections to the telus cable box.

 An AV receiver is returning an error message about 4K signal.

 Had to put a video splitter to manage it.

 Great receiver. Setup is a dream, so easy a monkey could do it.

 And I mean regular monkey not a super smart chin for orangutan.

 The included little mic work pearl to calibrate sound around the ring.

 The Alexa compatibility is ok but not super slick and seamless to use.

 Overall very happy with it. The sound and image liquidity are great.

 Everything runs through this baby then out to my TV and I have no complaints.

 Great receiver if all that is required is 5.

 2 channels. Can have 2 subwoofers if desired.

 Only missing is some effects like delay, concert hall, stands, etc but sound is superb.

I have a Denon AVR-S650H that checks all the boxes for what you likely need. It’s 5.2 capable, supports AirPlay, has a native Amazon Alexa plugin, has internet radio streaming, Bluetooth input and output, phone apps for controlling it, and plugins for various home control systems (I’ve played with the Homebridge plugin, but TBH it’s fully supported by Harmony, so I tend to automate through that instead).

In built speaker - how to integrate

for the power source I got a Denon AVR-S650H, for speakers we went with Jamo all around, S803s for the F/R, S83 CEN for the Center, and an S810 for the Sub...  all in I think it was right around $1k, maybe a little more

hello, i dont understand much about audio but soon ill get an apple tv 2021 and a tv, and i would like a 3.1 surround system including everything, im not sure why when i try to shop for 3.1 i just get a result that has a sub with a soundbar no speaker nothing, this is just confusing, so could someone link me a complete 3.1 system including the speakers sub and receiver? my budget is $1000. thanks

Need a 3.1 system

 The sound listening to music is on par with other low end receivers. I probably am spoiled by the Marantz.

It's ok, nothing great

  Sound quality is still very good. For large speakers, if your source is a little low, you have to turn up the volume to 70.  What I don't like here is the audio and speaker settings through app and on screen. If you feed a movie with Dolby DD+ the output automatically switches to 2

 It makes the system look archaic even though this is a refreshed design. I just ignore the names there, but it is a little unpleasant to see them every time.

1 or Dolby Atmos, using DTS Neo:6 is the best choice and I set that as my default in the quick settings. ---------------------------- Initially, I tried a cheap audio receiver from another company for my Bose speakers. I bought here from Amazon and then found out humming noise with that. Returned that

 With my preference going to whichever speakers i just so happen to prefer in a specific application, so next, let's talk about power output, as i mentioned before, it should have enough power to satisfy most people's needs. The critical thing here is that you really do need to pay attention to the manufacturer's recommendation. This receiver is meant for speakers that are rated at six ohms or higher. So that's what you want to stick with

 It has better and more accurate tone. The bass is quicker. The mid-range takes on more of an accurate presentation. The treble is smoother and more refined by direct comparison, it's just a better sounding unit in pretty much every way, but you have to live with this compromise

 So they don't soak up much power from the wall and then they're very small. You can put them just about anywhere, you want in the room and then even beyond that we have distinct sonic advantages. Usually they will sound cleaner. The bass will be more controlled

 There'S much more resolution. It'S a lot more transparent. It has better and more accurate tone. The bass is quicker

Sony STR-DH190 Stereo Receiver Review:  It's Actually Good!

 After a couple of days of putting everything together, I found myself more and more disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's not worth returning, but this is basic. Very basic. My 70's Pioneer stereo was much more robust with better technology (seriously)

 Bluetooth reception works well and also sounds great. It's a great basic little receiver (maybe a little over-priced for what it does).

I wouldn't buy or recommend this particular receiver.
