I also wish manufactures would stop printing everything so small...this one is not so small that I need a magnifying glass, but still uncomfortable for aging eyes

I'm really impressed so far. It sharpens knives with just a few passes through. Granted, my knives are not dull because I hate dull knives - they are dangerous. The features I like are the size - it fits in the corner of my knife drawer where it's ready anytime I need it

This sharpener takes quite a bit of steel off the knife when new. You will see the shavings as you pull the knife through. But after using it for over two weeks, the sharpener seems to have worn down and no longer catches the blade of the knife as it used to. So, now I'm returning the product

Pulled the first knife through a few times, and there were lots of metal filings. Turns out that's because it was super dull and uneven. Tried pulling the knife through cardboard, bam, right through, when before it just kind of smushed it. Skeptical on our serrated bread knife, but heard it works! Hard to pull through at first and kept getting caught

I was able to take a kitchen knife from dull to professional shape in 8 passes though stage 1 and 4 passes through stage 2 and 3. Well with the cost if you enjoy extremely sharp knives.

I want the smallest utensil that I can find that does the job. I am glad I am not married to that person because their main drive in life must be to complain. Since when did we start wanting kitchen utensils to be large and bulky and to use up our little remaining counter top? This is small (and fits easily in a junk drawer or my tackle box for my filet knife). It is stable and easy to use and it works

I got better results, but still, not extremely sharp. Looked at videos to see what I was doing wrong, but still could not get good results. Then I read about the Trizor XV in Cooks Illustrated and I thought, hmmm, this looks like the thing for me. So, it arrived today and I spent no time in getting to work on my knives

Would I recommend it? If a sharpener puts a blade on a Santoku knife sharp enough to trim brisket, you bet your gas grill I would recommend it. This sharpener works. The only minor negative is that the clamp which produces a suction cup to hold the sharpener in place did not always work. But that is very minor in my review
