Canon EOS M100 vs Canon EOS Rebel SL3

Is that normal behaviour with this lens? None of the reviews mentioned that. I tried the usual things like reset the camera, updated the firmware, etc but nothing has changed.

Love the fact that I can use legacy Canon lenses or the newest, as my budget allows. I got the 18-55 STM kit lens and it is a fine starter lens, especially for video (wide angle since the camera crops, especially with 4K video), it's silent, fast and relatively accurate. I also got a "nifty fifty" prime Canon 50mm lens that is Super for portraits and just to walk around with taking photos. I also got a Canon EF-S 55-250mm STM lens for excellent shots of RC planes in the air far away

If you're shooting your photos or videos with an higher ISO setting than normal and these photos maybe just for Instagram or for Facebook or they belo...

Was hoping it to be a perfect camera, but ended up being useless in everything. I planned to use it for special evenings with friends, where the small body and kit lens is unobtrusive, yet I have better lens and night shots than a smartphone. It HAD to connect to my smartphone, so that I can share the images with friends/family. Canon's software would not connect! The M100 became deadweight, as I only used my iPhone to share pics with others

Not even close. But keep the cost in mind. Keep the weight in mind. Mostly, keep that fabulous Digic 8 processor in mind

Could have been a great camera if only Canon bad put a little more effort in the software. The autofocus is slow and innacurate, and if you are not in manual mode, the camera won't shoot if it thinks it is out of focus no matter what the photographer thinks. Its a shame because the sensor is great and lenses are very good, but soffware is just too bad in this camera

For the type of video you're doing, I prefer the Canon. The autofocus is smoother and you can scrub footage to review it, which is really important. The Sony has weird old VCR-style controls to review footage and it means sometimes I don't catch problems I need to know about soon enough to refilm.
