 We got a pole lock here that you can use to uh, lock the uh the waffle plates in place, while it's working on the inside covered by a paper sheet right here we got some standard waffle, patents that covered with a non-stick coating, it's quite coarse, if You'Ve ever used a waffle maker before you've, probably seen all this. You can flip it around and on the other side you got yet another pair of waffle plates. You can use both sides to cook two waffles at the same time got indicator lights on both sides and noticeably. This model does not come with a temperature control system

 Uh, it's um! It'S made from plastic all around there's no stainless steel or metal parts. It'S one of the best looking waffle makers that we've ever got in the studio so far and we're most impressed with this. This coil right here. We think that is a it's some kind of heat exchanger, maybe so right here, as you can see, this is the cool touch handle

 If you hold it this way, this thing could probably break we're going to unravel the plastic cord and we're going to cut this zip tie here immediately after i plug it in the uh the power indicator turns on and when the uh, when the waffle maker reaches The correct cooking temperature, the other light, the ready light is going to turn on, so we waited for about five minutes and finally, the ready button has turned on and if you uh move it around. You also see that the other side's ready button is also on, even though it doesn't have a temperature control knob, the waffle maker has already gotten really really hot. We can feel the heat coming up from the waffle maker, as i held my hand over it. The top surface is pretty hot too, so now i'm going to use a thermometer to determine how actually hot it is

 What'S inside, so, let's open up the box. We got really nice presentation here comes in standard foam blocks, so right off the bat. We got an instruction manual as you can see here. I'M gon na leave it here and we got what seems to be the drip tray that will go at the bottom of the waffle maker and on the inside

Home Made Waffles

Just received the waffle maker yesterday and it is having issues right out of the box.  In short, the timing has to be just right to get the waffles cooked the same on both sides.  I am going to play with it for a while to get the timing down better.

  I would spend more money and buy something easier for my teenagers to use in the future.  I don't mind not having an exact timer feature on the product, but then it should be more precise and reliable on cooking time listed in the instructions in my opinion.  I won't return it but when this goes I'll invest in a better one.  In summary, if you have the time and patience while sitting home in quarantine to figure it out then ok

  Not to mention if you are cooking on one side, wait 10 seconds then flip, then you have to add batter to the top side, wait 10 seconds then flip, do you continue to flip every so often to get the best results?  I'm thinking that may be the case so I am going to work with it.  To be fair they pretty much tell you in the instructions (if they turn out too light..

If You've Got the Time

 You can make two waffles at once and you just snap it shut when you're done. It does have a drip tray that comes right out, so you can wash this you in the dishwasher or just by hand, but that will catch any batter that drips over. So it should stay nice and clean and we're going to wait for that light to go on and pour in some of our waffle batter. Okay, so the green light went on, which means our waffle

 Okay, so I rubbed a little vegetable oil on both of the waffle iron plate, so the waffle maker is now ready to go. I plugged it in and the indicator light went on. This is just an indicator light for when the waffle maker is hot. So it's supposed to turn green once it's heated up, it doesn't tell you when the waffles are done, so it should turn on and off throughout the baking process of the waffle

 From the other side, the waffle maker came out exactly the same, so we did get two waffles and the time that it usually takes to cook one. So I cut into the waffle and it was nice and crispy and it has those deep Belgian waffle, eclairs it'll catch, all of your maple syrup, looking pretty good and so again zobelle's Black & Decker, Belgian waffle maker, double flip, which means you can make two waffles At one time and it flips right over, you can check out our full review at waffle makers hub comm and read how to make these great waffle and maybe buy one for yourself.  Waffle makers, not a lot, take a look at the waffle maker while we're waiting for it to heat up. So it has this heat resistant handle which has an arrow which shows you which direction it's wet. So it flips over spins right over and also has a lock right here so to open the waffle maker. You have to pull the lock open and it stays open, and then you lift up the side, and there is one of the plates

 Obviously, the wiring moves inside the protectors, as this unit flips, the wiring then should be overbuilt to accommodate this frequent stress on the wires. I will not buy this unit again due to this perceived design flaw.

 After the full breakdown to find the short, it would be too much work to reassemble. I am a bit disappointed by the 18awg wire, I think this should be 16-14 with better casing and protection for the wiring.  Very frustrating.  The price is good, but this is NOT the waffle maker for anyone who are serious about their waffles. If that's you, don't waste your time, money, or energy on this one, splurge for a better brand. The better brands cost only slightly more and they last a decade and make perfect waffles

Price is right for what you get.

 This one fits in one of my drawers which gives it an advantage right off. As for use, it's easy. after you take the time to "burn in" your waffle maker, you won't have a problem again. Now by 'burning in" I mean preparing your waffle maker for use

 Since it is non stick coated heating plates you don't want to get them scratched. When done, just unplug to cool and use paper towels to clean it. NO dishwasher, immersion in sink, or wet dishcloth. DRY clean it only

 It stays where you put it. As for using the waffle maker just go along with the directions. That along with the indicator lights will help teach you to get the perfect waffle from the Black and Decker double flip waffle maker every time. I went to a restaurant supply house and got a heat resistant covered ladle for this machine to make it easier for myself

 I don't really trust spray cooking oils so I do it the old fashion way. I use a pastry brush and completely cover the heating surface area making sure not to miss a spot. And I use ole fashioned lard. after applying it to the surfaces, I run it thru the cycle twice making sure to recover any area that appears dry between the cycles

The Dash Mini Maker is a pint-sized waffle machine that is budget-friendly and makes a decent enough waffle. With no setting for doneness or any controls to speak of, you'll have to keep a constant eye on your waffles as they cook. I need to make waffles and freeze them for traveling each week. I purchased one of these, a little hesitant about how well it would perform but I am so amazed that I spent the extra $10 and got a 2nd one for knocking out a dozen waffles quickly.  I've now made literally hundreds of waffles in the Dash Mini over the last year, and every single one has come out perfect.

Fantastic!!! One of the best purchases I've made!

  You can make the most amazing waffles with this thing using just canned cinnamon rolls. Without everyone having to wait forever for cinnamon rolls to be baked in the oven. Get a can of the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing. Now you can use the icing as-is, but you can make it "pourable" by adding a few ingredients

  We use Krusteaz Belgian waffle mix, although just about any waffle or pancake mix will do. We recently got a KPKitchen batter dispenser for pancakes and waffles, which makes it easier to get just the right amount of batter into the waffle iron each and every time.  WHAT IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BATTER DISPENSER?  Quick pro tip I can offer you. Don't have a fancy measured batter dispenser? Next time you finish off a bottle of ketchup, mustard, squeeze jelly, etc, don't throw away the container

 Best of all, you don't have to use all of the batter at once. When you're done making waffles, just close the cap, and stick the bottle in the fridge. It will usually stay good for 2-4 days, just don't leave it at room temp for more than two hours at a time.  BACK TO MAKING THE WAFFLES
