 So right now it's sitting down, but when we're going to flip the walk down, order sitting to lift it up and flip it over to the other side so again that's lifted. I Can tip it over to the other side so it's really nice and small. When you want to store it, you can just flip the waffle maker up, stand it up, and put it away so the inside has the ceramic nonstick plates which have no chemicals. They're supposed to be completely nonstick, so the waffles will hopefully come right off

 So let's turn it on. try out some waffles, and okay, so here we come. Presto Flip Side: Belgian Waffle Maker out of the box I Plugged it in in this little red light on his side went on and that should tell us when the waffle maker is heated up. It also has this dial right here which is the timer so you can set the timer and it will tell you when the waffles are done

 Looks like you look pretty much the same so they coach fairly evenly on both sides thanks to the flip function. I'm gonna grab a plate and see if the waffle is pop out evenly. They did come off the plates really nice, so hopefully they'll come right off of the ceramic plate with no waffle better.  It must be something to do with the nonstick coating. That's not a good way to sell a product that makes food.  I tried washing it with vinegar as first but that didn't help much. I let it sit hot for about 20-30 min then made a couple of waffles that I discarded in case they were contaminated

 You won't need to do this every time unless it becomes hard to remove a waffle pour in 3/4 to 1 cup of your waffle batter in the middle. If you're using a thick batter, spread it out with a heat-resistant spatula. I'm going to use my 1 cup dry measuring cup and pour the mixture in the middle. It's a little bit thick so I'll spread it around now

 With this recipe, you'll get five waffles and 15 minutes when you finish. Unplug the unit but cool and wipe the grids with a soft cloth. The outside can be wiped off with a damp cloth to save space. The unit can be stored vertically like this Hold the handles together and flip up one of the red locking levers to lock the unit to unlock before use

 generally when you no longer see steam coming from the unit, the waffles done the time on the timer here. we'll just keep flashing. So when it gets to 1 minute it counts down and beeps. Those are the five beeps indicating that the waffle is cooked

 And the timer just seems to be wonky. It used to show zeros, but now it just shows blank . And if you set it to one minute, which I used to do to preheat the waffle iron, it immediately goes to 0. If you set it to two minutes It'll count down for a minute and then go to zero

 In mid-February I paid $40 on Amazon. It wasn't on sale. It's now mid-April and the Amazon price is $69. That's seems like a little more than inflation

This unit replaced my Cuisinart - the thermostat failed after many years of good service but, I have to say, the Presto makes a better Waffle. The timer is manual and you have to remember to set it each time. But, unlike the claims of some reviewers, it most certainly has a thermostat. I like that it's compact and sits vertical on my counter but the latch that keeps it vertical is flimsy

 its also more prone to leaking batter if you over fill but so long as you do not over fill it - its pretty good at containment.  the timer on the side does nothing for cook time. it does not auto shut off the heat plates - its just an egg timer, nothing more. if you leave this plugged it, it will stay on

 Cooked through 2 boxes of Krusteaz with no problems whatsoever so very happy with the purchase. Definitely recommend it!

 Super easy to use. No need for cooking spray, waffles slide right out of the ceramic. Everything is great about this waffle maker, except for the mechanism that holds it vertical for storage. That latch thing is kinda flimsy, so I'm subtracting a star for that, but function wise, it's fantastic
