  Effectively, as well as being 4k, the selling point of this projector is its colours and how much of the colour spectrum it is able to display. The thing is, increased colour spectrum and accuracy comes at the expense of brightness. If you want to take advantage of it, and specifically if you want to use or get the best out of the HDR mode, then there are things you need to know and consider  The W2700 comes with several picture modes; Bright, Vivid TV, Cinema, Dark Cinema and HDR. and as you go through each of these settings, the colour spectrum widens and colour accuracy increases, but brightness takes a bit of a hit

 Your ability to live with that 'hit' and how much it will impact your viewing experience will depend on how you will have things set up when using the projector. I cannot tell you if your set up will mean things are okay, as it will obviously vary, but I can tell you general principles that will hopefully give you an idea whether you will be able to get the most out of this projector.  The key thing is to maximise the perceived brightness of the projector in the first place, so that any 'hit' in brightness still results in an image you are happy to watch, therefore maximising your options and your ability to access the more dynamic picture modes. One way to do this is to have the projector as close to the screen the image it is being projected on as possible (for picture quality purposes, zoom should be used as little as possible and keystone ideally not at all)

  The key thing is to maximise the perceived brightness of the projector in the first place, so that any 'hit' in brightness still results in an image you are happy to watch, therefore maximising your options and your ability to access the more dynamic picture modes. Distance is linked to image size, so the size of the image you want/need will also be a factor.   b) You do notice a difference between the 4k projector and full hd projectors, but i personally do not believe it's worth nearly 3 times the cost. BenQ W1050 is £414 on Amazon.co.uk If i was buying again i would buy a 1080p projector at half the price, unless you have cash to splash its not worth the extra

 This projector outputs excellent 3D image, and I do not think there is anything currently out there with the upgraded DMD chip that can do 3D in the mid-segment. The image is consistently smooth and very cinematic.  Overall, I would happily recommend this projector to anyone looking for home cinema projector in this price range.

 They sounded quite satisfying but obviously, you have to keep your expectations reasonable! Talking of sound, the fan is a bit louder than I would like in Normal mode, but is quite enough in Eco mode to be not too distracting.  Finally, one big feature that shifted my decision in this projector’s favour is its ability to do 3D.  Once I bought the projector (and waited weeks for it to arrive), I started feeling like my Monoprice speaker setup was a little lean... I somehow got my wife to also agree to a sonic upgrade

Built my own Atmos theater to be better than my local AMC!

 The remote is small and hard to see in the dark, though it is back-lit once you press a button, i find the controls a little cumbersome to navigate but the menus are pretty straight forward. One of my favorite features is that it saves zoom and position settings so you can just select a preset and go back and forth between watching super widescreen movies and the more TV friendly 1.85 aspect ratio movies as well once you zero them all in. Thats a feature that was missing in the comparably priced Sony model that helped make my decision even easier

JVC Announces 3 New 8K Laser Home Cinema Projectors

 There are three indicator lights to the top right when viewing from the front of the unit and to the top is a stripe which runs the length of the body and it has the JVC, HDR and ISF-C3 logos at the lens end and 4K DILA logos at the rear.
