The V7050i supports Full HD 3D, using DLP-Link glasses. In my tests I didn't see any crosstalk, but 3D-related motion artifacts were more obvious than I've seen with many current-generation projectors. The one 3D mode was also far dimmer than the 2D modes.

You should probably go with a 4k ultra short throw laser projector like the Vava 4k (goes on sale for ~$2500 pretty frequently). The Vava can do 150". When you get that big, the 4k resolution matters more and the laser part of the equation will be able to better handle ambient light and will always be in focus. Just keep the kids from staring directly at the laser light!

I'm working on an idea to rear project a world with digital puppets behind live teachers. Imagine an IRL Blues Clues but if the host had a controller to adjust Blue's responses based on student interaction. This would (hopefully) enable the same person, in the same space, to teach a variety of introductory enrichment classes for 6 to 9 year-olds (e.g. LEGO building, dance, drawing, etc.)  


I've successfully tested it out online \[[example class 1](https://outschool.com/classes/draw-two-cute-cupcakes-and-learn-about-customer-interviews-with-animated-puppets-0S1IDqbB), [example class 2](https://outschool.com/classes/build-a-protective-bricks-structure-for-agent-ace-with-animated-puppets-aNN37rHB)\] and a few times with a front projector (which was blinding, to say the least). The ideal is probably some super bright LED wall, but while I'm experimenting with this out-of-pocket I was hoping for a more inexpensive, mobile setup. 

Would really appreciate your advice.

2. **Screen size?** Needs to be taller than me (5'11" in reality or 6' on my driver's license) so between 150" to 180"
3. **Distance from back wall or preferred mounting position to screen wall?** I can build a physical mount for the screen so that it's freestanding, but won't always have super long rooms (i.e. can't have a 17' throw distance). Ideally something like 3' to 5'. Note that the screen will need to touch the ground, so I imagine I'll need to have a stand for the projector that slightly tilts it downwards.
4. **Seating distance to screen?** 4' to 6' (kids will usually be standing 40% of the time and seated 60% of the time).
5. **How will you mount?** Table or floor
6. **Usage?** Theater / Classroom (Explained above)
7. **Room type?** Will be renting a variety of spaces for these tests (i.e. daycare play areas, school classrooms, mixed-use conference rooms, dance studios)
8. **Ambient light, through lighting or light leakage from windows?** I think we should optimize for medium-bright classrooms. I aim to tape up blackout screens on lights nearer the screen/behind the screen and also have some LED studio lights I could bright to light the classroom (facing away from the screen) if need be.
9. **Room colors?** Probably your typical off-white walls and ceiling with muted colors for the carpet

 I would say my favorite surprise update is that of 3D. This brings movie experiences to a whole other level for home theater entertainment. I really must give the team at VAVA credit for adding this feature to their projector post-production. An additional update that you will find in the VAVA is that it will temporarily display the resolution of the media source in the upper left corner of the display

 Unless you have an ALR screen, I wouldn't recommend watching with the lights on or curtains open as this will make the image look washed out. Reviewing Vava 4k Projector a Year Later (2021)

 What's up guys, today we're looking at the VAVA 4K Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector.

 Before we get into the video, if you are new to the channel and are into home theater,

 watching 4K or 3D movies, please be sure to like and subscribe.

 I've had the VAVA for about a year now, so I've been able to really explore everything

 I've spent some time since its original launch, so we will also be talking about some of the

 latest features and updates that are available for the VAVA later in this video.

 This is an Ultra Short Throw Projector, meaning you can place it inches away from your screen

 With the VAVA, you can project an image anywhere between 80 and an amazing 150 inches.

 The VAVA 4K is a single-chip DLP projector that uses ALPD 3.0 laser technology.

 This is not a native 4K projector, but uses pixel shifting to achieve its 4K image.

 The VAVA boasts 2500 ANSI lumens from a 6000 lumen light source to produce a bright image.

 On the back, it has three HDMI ports, USB, optical, and an ethernet port.

 Additionally, the VAVA has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity for audio input and output.

 It does have an Android built-in interface, but I recommend Apple TV, Roku, Nvidia Shield,

 Chromecast, or Firestick in their 4K formats.

 For audio, the VAVA has built-in 60-watt Harman Kardon speakers.

 Now, I can't really comment on the audio quality, as I have the projector hooked up to a Nakamichi

 What makes this and any other USD projector great is that you don't have to ceiling mount

 the projector, which means you can save time and money on professional setup.

 Additionally, you don't have to worry about friends or family members stepping in front

 of the image light source, blocking the movie.

 An ALR screen is recommended for these type of projectors for daytime viewing.

 For those who are not familiar, ALR stands for Ambient Light Rejecting, meaning the screen

 will display a clear image at day or in a well-lit environment.

 Let's get into the image quality, and remember that later in this video, we will be going

 over some of the latest features and updates of the VAVA.

 So for image, the source I will be using is the Apple 4K TV and projecting the image on

 It is important to note that though this screen does have some ALR qualities, this screen

 If you are interested in some of the specifics of XY screens, please check my other videos

 However, there are some adjustments you will have to make out of the box to get the best

 You can adjust the image parameters in the menu options.

 I will leave my image parameter settings in the description below, which in my opinion

 produced a high visual quality for this projector.

 The VAVA does display 8 million pixels on the screen for 4K, but this is achieved through

 pixel shifting, so you will not get as sharp of an image as native 4K.

 To get the best color accuracy, the VAVA will require some adjustments in the RGB settings.

 Black levels are very good, especially since the VAVA produces such a bright image compared
