I'm not inclined to pick a favorite. What I can say is that for $1,500 less, the LG may provide you a better value for your dollar.

We use it in the living room as 130" "tv" without a screen on a white wall. Works well in daytime, but for dark movies night time is best ofc. Wife and I love how it dosen't clutter the room compared to a tv and could never go back to anything smaller.

Projector is good, has blue yellow rain bowing in HDR mode during high black white contrast scenes. After a lot of research and deliberations (many thanks to this sub-reddit for the reviews), I have finally ordered an LG HU85LA for our media room. I am hoping to put a 100-inch screen to go with it. The room has some overhead lights and windows to the side, but direct sunlight is not an issue.

Great picture, easy setup. Issue 1 - Hard to align picture with 120 in screen, sorely needs lense shift like other high end projectors. Issue 2 - Missing YouTube TV which is available on LG TVs Issue 3 - Pricey

The best UST projector is coin toss between the LG HU85LA and the Samsung LSP9T. The Samsung is newer and has a couple features that the LG doesn't have but the Samsung costs more. Match either of those projectors with a Grandview Dynamique 120" UST ALR screen and you will have great viewing in your man cave.

Excellent projector but 1.7 yrs old now. No eARC support and not way to download apps like Apple TV. Wait for the next gen.
