Epson LS300 (UST) - If you're ok with 1080p, the Epson LS300 is an awesome UST projector that delivers excellent image quality along with a fantastic set of speakers. I can only compare it with Xiaomi 4k ultra short throw projector, picture quality & colour accuracy is much better on Xiaomi 4k projector so I had to return Epson LS-300.

Overall I'm happy with it given the price. I have considered upgrading to something like an Epson LS500 but it just doesn't seem worth ~3x the money. If I were buying one from scratch right now I'd probably consider the Epson LS300 as well, especially if it goes on sale at some point, because I assume it'd solve my startup time problems and the whine problem. Your best bet at a low budget would be Epson LS300 for ~1500usd and a CLR or high gain (1.5) ALR screen for ~1000usd. It still won't be as daylight bright as a TV. As they say, "you can't out gun the sun". Shading won't help much because there is ambient light all around.
