 I think it's a pretty easy recommendation, i'm tempted to say that the standard non-pro vivobooks, like the vivobook 14, which starts at 700 pounds, might be a better value option, as you still get a 3050, the latest cpus and also an oled screen. But if you want that little bit extra performance, then the 14x here is definitely worth considering it's just a bit of a shame. This particular model isn't coming to the uk. But what really sets this apart is that samsung oled screen, which is just unbelievably good, a touchscreen, would have been nice and maybe glass bezels that are flush with the screen rather than these slightly protruding plastic ones

 90 hertz oled. It doesn't get much better than this and actually samsung reached out and offered to sponsor this video of the asus vivo book, because samsung displays make this screen, which we get on all vivo books of which there's about a billion different skus. But as always, all opinions are my own and having been using this for the past few weeks, i have to say i am very impressed. So asus make a ton of laptops

 The screen is top notch. What about performance? How fast is this? Well, i can only speak for the spec i have here with the ryzen 7. 5800H. 3050Ti graphics card 16

 You might see a few percent longer battery, although, while i haven't tested the larger 16x from reviews, i've seen it does look like battery is a lot better. In fact, in the digital trends review, they claim it lasted longer than the lg gram 16. Even though the vivobook has much faster hardware, so the big question: should you buy one of these new viva books? Well, yeah. I think so

Laptop for writing (portable word processor)

  Glad this model has a second hard drive. No issues with the keyboard backlight. Battery life was good. Weight was good

 Battery life was good. Weight was good. Touchpad and mouse buttons were pretty big, and I had to reach over a little more than I'm used to. I'm sure I would get used to it

Small annoyances

Updated with BIG downgrade: The laptop we received never worked right. We had problems from the start. Since this is an old model, I won't bother to write much, other than this was a complete waste of money. Sometimes it would hang, sometimes it would suddenly shut down

 One more important point is that the battery life isn't very good. I think roughly two hours with a new battery. The relatively small (light) battery is part of why this laptop is light. I like this tradeoff since I will mostly be at home and can plug in when needed, so I care more about weight than battery life

” Well, this particular model is more than half a pound (12%) heavier than that. The actual weight of N705UD-EH76 as purchased from Amazon is 5.17 lb = 2.345 kg

 It's hard to power a 17" screen very long without a big heavy battery. If you want long battery life, this is not your laptop. Still pleased with the machine. Would get 5 stars for good engineering compromises if it weren't for the terrible touchpad

 The only problem though is I actually can't test this just yet. This is a pre-production model, Uh, which means I can't benchmark it. If I run any tests on this, then some Asus goons are going to barge through my door and take it off me. I had guns fired goons but what I can tell you is that it's using a new 3d vapor chamber cooling system

 So this guy can be specced with up to a 99 12, 900 H an Rtx 3060. although out of the three, this one does get slightly faster Ram 5200 megahertz versus 4800. The only problem though is I actually can't test this just yet. This is a pre-production model, Uh, which means I can't benchmark it

 but I really do appreciate Asus have gone full oled and full 16 by 10 across most of their lineup this year. Having that extra bit of vertical screen space makes such a big difference, and going back to a regular 16x9 screen just feels kind of confined. Now to avoid boring you all to death, the lovely people over at Asus marketing department have put together this one page little overview of the laptop and they clearly love a snazzy gradient color on the text. but this thing as you can see is ridiculously good

 They offer plenty of performance, color accurate screens, a good range of ports, and they're all squeezed into premium portable form factors. But let's kick off with this guy. the Vivobook Pro 16x Oled and this review sample is actually the super duper high-end model with some pretty beefy specs including the brand new I-912 900h and also the 30-70 Ti. No doubt this will also have a pretty beefy price tag as well, although I will update the description with final pricing and release dates for all these laptops

The Enter key is SO soft and mushy and I've noticed many of the keys, like the pair of Space bars, are also soft and don't register contact multiple times. VERY frustrating as I can type around 50 wpm and I'm having to Backspace WAY too much! GRR!. I want to send this POS back and try another brand, but I've found no other alternatives in my searches.

 It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students. Having 2 classes in row will mean you're looking to sit near a plug in class to keep it charged. You can dim the screen down but that's not always possible when you're in a bright classroom

 My old model, with a card slot, I routinely swapped out cards depending on my usage. I was hoping the battery life was some improved. It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students

Good but with some disappointments.

We did not open the shrink wrap as there was no indication of a keyboard. Be aware of false depictions of keyboard included even in the video. Otherwise, the product should be ok if you want a tablet, not a PC.
