The best 24 inch office monitor we've tested is the ASUS VG246H. Although monitors this size usually aren't the best choice for office use, this monitor is good for most office users. It has good visibility in bright rooms, with very good reflection handling and decent peak brightness. It also has fantastic ergonomics, meaning you can easily adjust it to an ideal viewing position. The image remains accurate at an angle, so it's also a good choice if you often have to share your screen with someone else.

Out of the box, this monitor has excellent accuracy, meaning it's also a good choice for work that requires accurate colors or media creators. It has a flicker-free backlight, which helps reduce eye strain. It has excellent gray uniformity and good gradient handling, with almost no noticeable dirty screen effect and very little banding in areas of similar color.

Sadly, the relatively low pixel density results in just decent text clarity, so images and text lack a bit of sharpness. The small size isn't a good choice for multitasking, either, as it's difficult to see much of your work if you have multiple windows open at once. Although it's a pretty basic monitor, it delivers a decent experience.

If you're looking for something for office work, consider the ASUS VG246H. It has the same 24-inch, 1080p screen as the HP X24ih, and it doesn't have the same gaming features and performance, so get this if you want to use it only for work purposes. However, it's better than the HP for productivity because of its much better ergonomics, making it easier to adjust to an ideal viewing position. It's perfect if you want to use it for a secondary monitor and need to swivel it to face you or if you prefer using it in a vertical position. It also has wide viewing angles that make the image remain consistent no matter where you view it from.

Although it's a cheap monitor, it has an sRGB mode that results in amazing accuracy before calibration, which is ideal if your work requires accurate colors. It also has very good reflection handling if you want to use it in a room with a few lights around, but it doesn't get bright enough to fight intense glare.

For some people, even cheap monitors are good enough for office use, and if that's the case for you, then the ASUS VG246H is a very good option as a cheap monitor. With a 24-inch screen and 1080p resolution, it's smaller and has a lower resolution than the Dell S2721QS, which isn't ideal if you want a bigger screen with sharp text, but it's a good size if you have limited desk space or want a secondary monitor. The text clarity is still decent, and it has amazing out-of-the-box accuracy that makes colors look life-like without any calibration.

ASUS monitors are known for their remarkable ergonomics, and this one is no exception as it offers all common adjustments, and you can swivel it 90 degrees in either direction. Its wide viewing angles make it a great choice for sharing your screen with others. It's barebones in terms of connectivity and extra features, but that's normal for a cheap display, and it still has built-in speakers if you want to listen to music while working and don't want to spend extra on a dedicated setup.

If you're looking for something cheap without gaming features, check out the ASUS VG246H. It's a cheap monitor with a lower refresh rate than the HP X24ih and is more designed for the office, so it's a good choice if you need a simple display for your office setup. 1080p monitors aren't common for the office because they have lower pixel density than higher-resolution displays, but the text clarity is still decent. It has exceptional ergonomics with a wide swivel range, making it easy to place the screen in an ideal position, and it has wide viewing angles that make the image remain consistent no matter where you view it from.

You won't have issues using it in offices with a few lights around because it has good reflection handling and decent peak brightness that's enough to fight a bit of glare, but not if you place it opposite a bright window. It also has amazing out-of-the-box accuracy, so you won't have to get it calibrated unless your work needs the most accurate colors possible, and it displays a wide range of colors in SDR.

If you want something cheap and don't want to spend much money, consider a cheaper entry-level model like the ASUS VG246H. It has fewer features than the Gigabyte M27Q as it doesn't have a USB hub or Picture-by-Picture modes, but that's what you have to expect for getting a cheaper model. It also has a smaller screen and lower resolution, so it isn't ideal for multitasking, but the pixel density and text clarity are decent. Despite its price, it's still well-built with an incredibly ergonomic stand, making it easy to adjust to an ideal viewing position. It also has wide viewing angles that make the image remain accurate from the sides.

It doesn't have a USB-C port like the older models, but it still has an HDMI port you can connect your MacBook to if you have the newer MacBooks with an HDMI slot. It's limited in extra features too, but it has a flicker-free backlight that helps reduce eye strain during long usage sessions. It also has an sRGB mode that results in amazing color accuracy, which is great if you care about accurate colors and don't want to calibrate it.

If you need a basic display to use with your Mac Mini or to use as a secondary display, the ASUS VG246H is even cheaper than the ASUS ProArt Display PA278QV, and it's still good for office use. It has a smaller 24-inch screen and 1080p resolution, which also results in decent text clarity, but it isn't ideal if you need to open multiple windows at once. It has many of the same features, including incredible ergonomics and amazing color accuracy thanks to its sRGB mode. It doesn't get as bright, so it's best to use in a dim or moderately-lit room, but the reflection handling is still very good.

As expected for a cheap monitor, it's limited in extra features and doesn't have a USB hub, so you can only connect to it via HDMI. However, it has built-in speakers, which are a nice addition if you quickly need to watch a video or listen to something, but speakers built into monitors aren't anything special, so don't expect good sound.

Cheap monitors are a great choice if you need to buy two at a time or multiple to supply your employees for the entire office. If that's something you're interested in, the ASUS VG246H is the best secondary monitor you can get for cheap. At 24 inches in size, this small screen is great if you don't want to take up a lot of space on your desk with them placed side-by-side, but with a 1080p resolution, you don't get the same text clarity as the Dell S2721QS.

Despite its low cost, it has good office performance with remarkable ergonomics as you can swivel it a full 90 degrees in either direction, tilt it, adjust the height, and rotate it into portrait mode. If you want a cheap entry-level monitor that won't take up a lot of space, then the ASUS VG246H is a good option. With a smaller 24-inch screen and lower 1080p resolution than the ASUS ProArt Display PA278QV, it's better to use as a secondary display next to your main one or if you want to use two of them for a dual setup for extra screen space. Still, the text clarity is decent, and the picture quality is good thanks to its amazing accuracy, good reflection handling, and decent SDR peak brightness.

  75HZ OVER HDMI -> Who says high refresh rate has to be limited to just gamers? 75Hz works using just the HDMI port (displayport not required). How easy is that?  ADJUSTABLE STAND -> This was actually one of the main reasons I went with this monitor. The angle/height adjustment on this monitor is top-notch. It's similar to the adjustment of VG248QE

  THE PRICE -> I did want an IPS monitor but didn't want to spend too much. This is not IPS but it's under $200.  THE BAD -> There's just 1 con, but doesn't prevent me from giving this 5 stars. First, the color accuracy = garbage

Why You Should Consider This Monitor for Work, Not Just for Gaming

Disappointed

 Upon install, it took a bit of tweaking to get my system to recognize the 75Hz refresh rate (out of the box it was attempting to connect at 60Hz). Had to go into the OS and set it.  One other issue is that the box that it arrived in looked like it had been opened. The clear tape, which usually seals the top flap of the box was missing (although it did not look as though the tape had been pulled up)

 No more ugly lines in the middle of the screen where half the screen was a frame behind.  My ONLY issue with the monitor is that when you slouch in your chair, the monitor lets you know by showing you a washed out picture. Viewing angles aren't the monitor's strong suit but it is still great for one person using it to game on, exactly my purpose for buying it. So that doesnt detract any stars from my rating seeing as this is marketed to gamers and gamers like to sit close to their monitors and dead center for the best possible experience

I can't believe I was using a tv for so long before I bought this monitor. I mostly play Rainbow 6 seige on pc and noticed I was at a bit of a disadvantage due to reaction time against other players. After asking why it was that seemingly everyone had a better reaction time than me I was told by some of the other players that it could be because of my current display being a 4K tv and having a large input lag. I did some research and sure enough input lag on my tv was 60-150ms

 I was able to tuck it behind my desk with no issues. Dual HDMI ports make it ideal for connecting both my PS4 and Xbox One, so I was able to ditch my crappy HDMI switcher.  - On top of all the functionality, I think it looks really good.  It'S basically the same between the two generations of lg monitors and no different to the other 4k 144 hertz monitors that we've looked at there's a 5 watt difference between best and worst at a similar size, which is negligible for real world use. Next up, we have color performance. The 27 gp 950, like previous lg nano ips monitors, is a wide gamut display with near full coverage of the p3 gamut 98.4

 Using the fast mode performance holds up pretty well at high refresh rates 120 hertz and above, but when we get to 100hz and below overshoot starts to become more noticeable in practice and, in particular, at the lower part of the refresh range inverse. Ghosting is visible in ufo tests and, while gaming, we also see a falloff in cumulative deviation in response to this rise in overshoot moving from 500ish to the low 700 range. Meanwhile, the other viable option for variable refresh gaming is the normal mode. This mode is slower
