 So I'm going to go ahead and leave it on the default side, really easy to program this, again I really like the style and design on this, especially it being a dedicated thrower, really nice compact as you can see, but the head is a little bit larger than some of the other ones I've tested. Alright so let's wait no further, let's see how this does outside in the wilderness.  Welcome back to another light video. I've got the second Astrolux that Banggood sent in. This is the FT3 Mini and I'm looking at the SST40 version. That's the one they sent in

 I usually prefer a slightly bigger, but it did fit. These are the dimensions of the torch with the different tubes because you've got the two included. You can see it's a reasonably compact light for an 18650 thrower. Type C charging port on the side and all of the machining and threads is quite nicely made on this

 We're starting with the unicorn, 850 lumens, quite a warm tint on this light. It's around about 4,000 kelvins. And the FT3 Mini, the ramping on this, it's not the lowest output and I'll take it up to the highest output. Quite a nice range on this light

 Then you run it longer: it'll produce 70 % and then and then later it'll produce 50 % all the way down to zero or point zero one percent. So the number I usually look at is eighty percent. So the L eighty and I look at how much time it takes to get to the eighty percent, because then you're going to start to notice that the efficacy or the brightness or the lumens per watt decreases. So let's say the LED produces a thousand lumens at 80 %

 It'S one of the best flashlights out there, because it's small sleek has a nice reflector, it's waterproof and it has a nice metal tail switch. I don't like the rubber ones in the back, because it sometimes it breaks and once it breaks it's done so this one's a more rugged design. It'S got a nice metal, tail switch and easily do a tail stand and it's easy to push. I don't think this switch is ever going to break down

 So the L eighty and I look at how much time it takes to get to the eighty percent, because then you're going to start to notice that the efficacy or the brightness or the lumens per watt decreases. So let's say the LED produces a thousand lumens at 80 %. It'S going to produce 800 lumens. So you look at the time it takes to get to the eighty percent mark and we run it at 2

 This thing's 1800 lumens, whereas the regular s2 pluses are like less than about half that and 900 lumens give or take a little bit so 1800 lumens. And it's a very straightforward flashlight. It doesn't have two different sets of features, so you don't have to learn a little trick to get it to go between the different sets. It'S just got one set and that set is ultra low, low, medium high and that's it steady on those four and very easy to go through it

 So let's go to the table top and take a good look at it. Okay, so here you go! Here'S the flashlight! Let'S take it apart to show you all the different parts of it. Here'S the tail cap, it's gon na lanyard with it. You can see the nice contacts in there well made they've got soldering to solder, the parts together and the wire comes up the center to this spring right at the top and gets soldered on there still well made well-constructed

 Other then that it is a really solidly made lil fL! Ive dropped it at least 3x and 1x from my bike and it fell hard and skidded across the road and although its scratched now it still works PERFECTLY.

 Yes I attach this fL to my bike and it makes for a perfect night headlight. I added O rings to the two pieces that screw off because when I ride I get caught in the rain and the O rings it comes with are pretty cheap. Other then that it is a really solidly made lil fL!
