All it needed was a totally new keyboard and faster processors

2GHz to get something done and then ramp it back down to 1.1GHz to preserve heat and battery life. This is a pretty normal strategy now.

if the chiclet keyboard design had the same travelling distance and 7 row design like the old-glorious thinkpad keyboard, would you be satisfied?

Every now and then I turn on my old T61 and it’ll the keyboard there just feels somewhat mushy. My current T460s and T470 keyboards feel much more crisper.
