Another reason why I’m buying my iPhone 14 Pro Max directly from apple, unlocked. Just in case Xfinity has trouble activating my phone through eSIM, I won’t have any trouble going to another carrier. Xfinity mobile is not perfect.

 The new lenses and sensor give video image quality a boost, though in low lighting the 14 Pro still suffers from light source reflections. It's better than previous iPhone models, but it's still there. Cinematic mode can now record 4K video at 24 frames per second. There's also this new super video image stabilization tool called Action Mode

 And with the 14 Pro Max, I was able to consistently get a day and a half on a single charge. And charging is okay. I charged the 14 Pro Max for 30 minutes, and the battery went from 14% up to 59%. And that's using the included Lightning USB-C cable, but a 20 watt wall charger that I had to buy separately since it doesn't come with one

 I mean, what speed bumps, am I right? While other phones have similar stabilization modes, it's wonderful to see this come to the iPhone, and it works across all three rear cameras. And then there's the TrueDepth camera that gets an upgrade. The lens is brighter with an f1.9 aperture, and for the first time ever, there is autofocus on the iPhone's selfie camera, which works great for group selfies

 In terms of the battery, the regular 14 Pro had no problem making it through a day. I typically got six hours of screen on time. And with the 14 Pro Max, I was able to consistently get a day and a half on a single charge. And charging is okay

 I didn't realize the phone was learning my use patterns. After about a week the battery life is great! I use my phone all day for business and personal and now I no longer need to charge it in the middle of the day. First time I've actually used the face recognition on a phone. And it's working great

 The fingerprint takes some getting used to - being on the front and having to get my finger pretty flat. The camera is probably way better than outstanding. 🤣 I'm still learning to use it but it's got some amazing features and the zoom.

Amazing phone and features

  The Good: So even with all the ranting there is some good with this phone. To start things off the camera has some nice new features. The fact that you can zoom in 100x is pretty impressive, even though at that distance any picture looks like it was taken with a potato. The camera also has a laser auto focus which is pretty interesting to watch in video, the camera will literally adjust to movement without you actually moving

 Again not horrible but the Note 10+ was just so much slimmer and more comfortable in the hand. Lastly the cost. I bought my Note directly from Samsung for $700 brand new with a pair of galaxy buds and a charger included, so at $1200 this phone should have outperformed my 2.5 year old Note across the board, but to be quite honest its mediocre at best

 I only have my thumbs set for all 4 scans and more times than not it still can't pick it up. Size is somewhat bulkier, primarily due to the raised camera overlay, which results in the case being somewhat bulkier. Again not horrible but the Note 10+ was just so much slimmer and more comfortable in the hand. Lastly the cost

For the cost, could've been better

 10x zoom is good only in bright lighting. But the camera lets me down every time I try to take a picture of my kid inside, every time it comes out as a blurry mess.

5. Battery-- I can get a full days use from the phone with battery to spare. I'm answering emails, watching videos, playing some more powerful mobile games, play game pass on it, and browsing websites. The phone doesn't get hot and performance does not slow down

2. Screen size-- As I indicated earlier, I love big phones because it provides a better media consumption experience and is better for online gaming. 

1. Performance-- this phone is super fast. The processing power and the 5g capabilities means this phone rarely hiccups and performs consistently well.
