If the battery life isn’t superb like the iPhone 13 Pro Max, in their eyes it will be deemed a disappointment and then that’s when they will say that it is not worth the extra $300. They’ll also remind everyone Google no longer gives away free photo storage at full quality.

People forget to mention that it's only $200 more than the P6 with mmWave available through Verizon. The Pro comes standard with mmWave which is also wrapped up in the price.

I agree with this post, and I think reviewers will recommend the regular 6 "for most people." The regular 6 will get a lotttt of love as an amazing phone for the price.

If you had asked someone Monday how much the Pixel 6 Pro was going to cost, they would have probably said somewhere between $900 and $1100. In fact, Google released it at the low end of the price point for such a premium featured phone. It was certainly less than I was expecting. 

I think what confuses the issue a bit is that *the Pixel 6 is shockingly priced lower than the more mid-tier Pixel 5*. (And only $100 more than the 5a.) 

Part of that price point is just pure aggressive short-term-profit-shrinking marketing on Google's part. But at least $100 of the discount is losing the mmWave radio (for which you must pay extra in the Verizon model). Remember, it was the inclusion of that expensive radio that kept the price of the Pixel 5 high in the US last year. Google clearly is determined not to make that mistake again.

Yes, the $300 should give people pause. Unless you really want that screen or telephoto lens, it is hard to pass up the incredible deal you are getting on the Pixel 6.

iPhone 13 and 13 pro are $200 apart and the only real difference is -telephoto -120hz, but a lot of reviews claimed the pro is a good value vs. The regular 13. It’ll be interesting if the quite large list of differences suddenly causes $300 to be a big deal

This year is different though. The P6 should be compared to other phones at/near same price point, iPhone 13, S21, and others. While the P6 Pro should be compared to 13 Pro/Max, S21 U, and others.

When you do that, the prices make more sense and competitive. P6 offers a lot for the value compared to comparable competition and same for the P6 Pro.

Let me start off by saying that I pre-ordered the P6Pro and don't really feel bad about it.

BUT...I think as the title says, reviewers are going to have a hard time recommending the pixel 6 Pro and may even label it as disappointing and criticize Google, and it will be because of the price. "There's nothing really wrong with the P6Pro", they'll say, "but Google priced these phones in such a way that it's hard to justify a $300 upcharge for...not *that* much more."

Just my prediction, what are your thoughts? Will reviewers really love the P6Pro?

<div class="md"><p>Let me start off by saying that I pre-ordered the P6Pro and don&#39;t really feel bad about it.</p>

<p>BUT...I think as the title says, reviewers are going to have a hard time recommending the pixel 6 Pro and may even label it as disappointing and criticize Google, and it will be because of the price. &quot;There&#39;s nothing really wrong with the P6Pro&quot;, they&#39;ll say, &quot;but Google priced these phones in such a way that it&#39;s hard to justify a $300 upcharge for...not <em>that</em> much more.&quot;</p>

<p>Just my prediction, what are your thoughts? Will reviewers really love the P6Pro?</p>
