 It really doesn't feel comfortable to carry any more than 25 pounds, and that's pretty sad, I carry a 6 pound laptop (with cord), a 32oz nalgene, 2 books, around 3-5 pounds each, another 5 subject notebook, and just a pelican 1040 case with pens and USB's. This isn't even a lot of things to carry on your EDC and the bag is just super uncomfortable. And the Yoke, why design backpacks with interchangeable yokes but this one is specifically to this bag, i tried swapping in my extra hunting yoke for at least double padding and the straps are too thick to run through the small plastic clips, so honestly this bag is a no from me, dawg. Attached pictures are the usual amount of things i carry to class, the shoulder strap thickness, and the plastic clip thickness

I wanted to love this bag

 They have this sort of swoosh form that feels really good and it's a nice texture so it's very easy to grab these and zip them. Overall, they're very smooth, however sometimes going around it feels a bit bit toothy, but that's no fault of the bag, that's just what happens when you curve a zipper. One thing that I thought was interesting that I've noticed is that these zipper pulls are actually the same poles that Tom Bin has been using their Design Lab bags. This is the Design Lab packing cube shoulder bag and it's the same exact zipper hole

 I'm used to having the main compartment zipper be maybe a Ykk number 10 or something. visibly more beefy, so I know this is that main compartment. This is where I'm going to be compressing all of my stuff. Finally, between the compression straps, the straps at the bottom for the shoulder straps, and all of this well tied down, there are a lot of straps on the bag and depending on how well you secure them, they can get dangly

Overall though, I think that the Alpha 1, 9, or Evade 1.5 is an excellent pack and I would highly recommend it

 There's a zipper compartment that goes the whole interior of that organizational panel and behind it. On both sides we have these D-rings with one included key leash and this key leash has a little clippy thing. You can take it off, put it on the other side, or keep it off if that's what you want behind this flap. Here, there's actually another zipper pocket and this is where I actually store the tags that came with the bag and that elastic cord that you could put on the front

Seems like a lot of other people have gone into a lot of detail on this bag, so I'll hit on the major bits. Love the tuck away waist straps to help when you're going long/have a heavy load. Magnetic rip ups are sick, and speed up access. Front pockets are great, but access is a little tough for bigger hands

 I think, because of the robust harness system, the dimensions on this bag are 19 inches by 12 inches by 7 inches, and I like that, it's 19 inches long, I'm a rather tall person, 6 foot 3, and so if a bag is not 19 inches or longer It really seems short on my body. This bag has YKK zippers, all around number eights on the exterior and the interior is a little bit smaller. I think they're number Five's you've got heavy-duty Woojin Hardware on this, and everything about this bag is heavy duty duty. So, let's check out the outside of this bag, starting at the top

The back one gives you access to the lat, the next one to the main compartment of the bag and we'll get into that

 Plenty of space and compartments. It will "fit" my 17" alienware laptop. There's a technique to getting it in but it works. Anything smaller would be no problem

Awesome Bag

 I use the pack to carry camera gear along with the usual dad-carry gear like snacks, drinks, extra clothing, first aid kit, and  frisbees, etc. I find the suspension system quite comfortable and I actually like the fact that the shoulder straps aren't overly padded. They (the shoulder straps) are nicely contoured and once you have the system dialed in for your torso, everything wraps and hangs nicely.

Older MR packs I own with less engineered shoulder straps are far less comfortable under load. I appreciate the effort to use modern materials and construction to help keep comfort up and weight down.

My sixth-grader wanted a basic black backpack that would hold all her books/essentials since they don’t have lockers. She chose this backpack and was excited when it arrived.
