I was a bit hesitant to spend so much on a waffle maker, but my long-standing motto of 'you get what you pay for' overcame me. I also felt a bit odd buying an electric appliance from All-Clad, a company who isn't well-known for appliances, but makes fantastic stovetop cookware. It's made in China FOR All-Clad so those thinking it's USA-made like other All-Clad products may be disappointed. I found this particular waffle maker on the recommendation from Serious Eats

Loved this waffle maker! But today it almost burnt my house down! The timer wasn’t beeping for when it is heated up, so we opened the lid to check it & it was so hot & was making popping sounds! I had to put it in the sink. It set my fire alarms off too! I’m sure this isn’t the norm, my moms has lasted 15 yrs! But I’m so sad mine only lasted 2 yrs… we have taken really good care of it too!

Breville wins that I own: Smart Waffle, Immersion blender, Smart Oven, Smart Oven Plus (except for the air fryer being less than optimal). These are all amazing.

This waffle iron is easy to use and works pretty well. You plug it in and select a ‘brownness’ level and close the lid. It beeps when it is at temperature, you add your batter, close the lid and it beeps again when its done. It has a reservoir at the back that catches overflow batter - you should practice distributing your batter evenly because it is still possible to overflow the sides if you are not careful

With that said, it cooks a great waffle, easy to use, and relatively small footprint consider that it makes 4 waffles. We have limited storage space and we're considering the 2 waffle, but then realized this is not much larger, and at the time was actually cheaper than the 2 waffle unit.

The timer is on the device is useless. The finish is so poor that my “ready” button is misspelled “reday.”

Bought this All-Clad Waffle Maker because of its size (perfect waffle size for 1 person). Easy to operate & clean & doesn’t take up a lot of room. There are 7 different temperature settings, so can easily customize waffle color depending on personal preference. Like the All-Clad durable design

If this is a problem for you then I would advise getting the 2 slice model because I would believe it opens to a lesser height. It is also heavy and has a substantial footprint. If you spend this much money on a waffle maker you might want to proudly display it out on your countertop, but because of the moat that catches the expanding waffle batter it makes it have a very large footprint making it hard to justify giving it so much real-estate for such a speciality appliance. If you do choose to move it back and forth from cabinet or pantry to countertop just realize it is not the lightest thing in the world

The teflon is getting more problematic. I really dispise the teflon. Waffles are becoming more likely to stick. The teflon is shredding and making it worse

! Its a little heavy but its totally quality and i can easily manage it..and im not young lol
