I own that monitor and imo it’s the best 1440p I’ve yet tried. I heard it’s discontinued but I still see it in stock. Edit: There’s also ViewSonic XG270QG Elite which I guess is a renewed version. Also why tf is my comment downvoted?

I've also tried changing the refresh rate to 100hz and 144hz to see if there would be a difference, it didn't help. I downloaded the monitor driver and display controller from the Viewsonic XG270 software page. Nothing included in any of that helped. I am completely disappointed by the MBR performance on this monitor

G-sync is pretty awesome, but the difference from a solid smooth 60 fps to 120 fps + was not nearly as revolutionary as everyone on the internet has led me to believe. And I still think a rock solid 60 fps looks fantastic. Anyways, the overall design of this monitor is great, and playing games on it is really enjoyable. But none of it was the revolutionary step forward that I'd never be able to return to 60 fps from, my LG OLED at 4k 60fps is a truly majestic beast, and next year I'll get the newer g-sync compatible LG OLED version and have the BEST OF ALL WORLDS!!! Muahahahahah

We test monitors with a Datacolor SpyderX Elite colorimeter, a Murideo SIX-G signal generator, and Portrait Displays' CalMAN 5 software.

To solve this problem, I'll wear my prescription sunglasses, but I've discovered the polarity of this monitor is turned in such a way that the sunglasses causes the monitor image to be completely black unless I tilt my head 90 degrees. This makes the monitor completely useless at the start of my work day. Also, as others have mentioned, the out of box color accuracy profile is quite terrible, but fairly easy to solve. All in all, once the color profile is fixed, when I can wear my normal glasses, and I don't see the backbleed 95% of the time, it's a good monitor, but not great / excellent

Only issues: 1) Monitor Stand is massive - will have to buy a monitor arm (any recommendations would be appreciated) 2) My box was damaged, missing DP Cable in the box (not Dell's fault). 3) Very inconvenient cable placement, you must take off the removable back panel and swing it around to connect, while this might not be an issue for some, with such a big stand and not a lot of desk room, it is a bit of a hinderance. But it does look clean, so this CON depends on the user. 4) Alienware Command Center cannot locate the monitor (not a big deal, I didn't buy it for the lighting features anyway, but it could be a problem for some gamers) 5) The stand pushes the monitor very forward, not a deal breaker, the monitor arm will fix this issue but from the back of the stand to the front of the monitor, it is around 9 inches, which is a problem if you have a narrow desk

i needed a monitor that would fit in a limited space for monitor height. this one does fit (barely) at lowest stand setting. others i like better would not. but the stand takes an enormous amount of desk real estate
