If you are still interested in buying this though, I would recommend investing a little more and buying the 1440p monitor though. Although this one is good for gaming since 1080p is kinda standard, that resolution is quite limiting in terms of media consumption and I always regret not being able to watch youtube or play other games at a higher resolution on the same monitor.

Very fast 1 milliseconds response time, snappy image response with very little ghosting. It's pretty rad. It does need some help with gamma adjustment...

Update 10/2/2018: removing 1 star because the vesa mounting should have had a better solution. MSI should have included adapters with this monitor to make the vesa mounting usable. (one thing I liked about the HP omen 25" was they included a very nice vesa adapter) If vesa is deal-breaker for you I would STAY AWAY from this monitor. It might work for you, it might not

We test monitors with a Datacolor SpyderX Elite colorimeter, a Murideo SIX-G signal generator, and Portrait Displays' CalMAN 5 software.

This gives it excellent color accuracy, nice black levels, and excellent viewing angles when compared to a TN panel. It does make some compromises: white to black response time suffers with VA panels, which is alleviated a bit with the on-screen Over Driver option. Overall, the Optix G27C2 is an excellent middle ground between high-end IPS panels, and lightning fast gaming-minded TN panels with a very budget-oriented price tag. This makes it an excellent value for content creators and gamers alike
