 Again, not even as loud as my old laptop so it doesn't bother me at all.  WEIGHT: This is so lightweight! My old one was a bit heavy and clunky, so I appreciate the fact this is so light. The downside of that is that the casing does feel cheap. Like it might not survive getting dropped on the carpet

 Best damn computer I have ever owned and I love gaming on it that way. It is far superior to  any desktop pc in my opinion and with my needs.

In my opinion, I think it's better to buy gaming pc's rather than laptops because of these reasons:

\- It's a whole lot more expensive

\- It's prone to getting stolen (especially on poor countries like mine) because it stands out more than your average laptop.

\-bad battery life

\- It's also prone to having a smaller lifespan because of some people gaming too much.

\- People saying you're a showoff and a rich kid because you can afford one. I get a few friends who get these types of comments but then, who cares about what they think? But then again it's kind of annoying.

While I like the idea gaming on the go, I prefer to game using my cellphone or Tablet instead. The triple AAA games that I play can wait at home where my gaming computer is safe.

What are your thoughts?

Thoughts about gaming laptops?

I've had good luck with both Dell Latitude and Lenovo ThinkPad in that price range. Depending on where you are, Latitude might be slightly better value for money, since used ThinkPads are more talked about and popular.

Are there any linux laptops for around 300 euro?

Lenovo Thinkpad. The only issue would be the battery life, but you could get multiple batteries since they're not internal.

I am looking for a new (or refurbished) laptop to do office tasks and write code.  The most intensive thing I intend to do is run a Windows 10 VM for the few programs that don't run on Linux.

Preferences: 

The most important thing to me is compatibility with Linux.  It seems like a lot of laptops nowadays have issues with running Linux (particularly with suspending and such), so the most important thing to me is that the hardware will be able to work with Linux out of the box/with minor bios tweaks.

   * Size is not a major factor, as long as I can fit it in a backpack

I am not a happy customer and have a great laptop with a substandard keyboard. UPDATE - The seller has contacted me and apologized for this unfortunate incident and offered to refund 100% of the purchase price. I will be returning this item and consider this matter handled very professionally and closed, to my satisfaction

This laptop was delivered with a non-standard keyboard and is not as represented in the site photos. As near as I can tell, the layout seems to most closely resemble a Canadian multilingual type. It is not user-friendly at all, unless you are a perfect touch typist and, even then, there are significant differences in the layout.
