XGIMI Horizon

I researched the heck out of this mostly using Projector Central and got an XGIMI Horizon (non-pro so it's 1080p) for movie watching and occasional casual gaming. When I first started doing research about which projector to buy, I came across xgimi horizon pro and that projector kinda became my favorite. I can't look at any other projector reviews with an open mind.

Convenient in a relatively compact form, however picture is not great. I did an in depth side by side analysis (visual) with the Epson EF12. The EF12 had a clearer, better picture with more contrast. I'm happy with the way it turned out in terms of sound and picture. I'm projecting on a wall currently which might change in the future. It's a budget build with most of the components from Costco. * Projector: XGIMI Horizon Pro 4K.

The quality is not good and it’s low resolution. And the return process is complicated, asking me for a lot of info and not yet giving me the return label. And I assume I have to go to some mailing office to mail it to them

Hello folks, I am all but sold on the XGIMI Horizon, only questioning whether I want Pro (4K) or not. First off I am new to projectors and looking for simplicity. The Horizon has Android TV built-in, supposedly decent speakers, no bulbs to replace, and most importantly it's somewhat portable in the sense that I can easily experiment with different setups.
