This sharpener is fine. I don’t like the way the shavings fall. They stay trapped in the upper mechanism so when you pull the gray to dump there is a whole chunk of shavings packed in the machine to shake and pull out if it hasn’t fallen down all over when you remove the tray.

Purchased this to use in my classroom. It lasted one year! I think it should have lasted longer BUT it did last longer than any of my other pencil sharpeners. It never jammed but it just stopped sharpening the pencils to a point. Could be better...

The pencil shaving dispenser pops out regularly when sharpening and causes the machine to stop. My students have to hold the dispenser in while sharpening their pencils. Can be slightly annoying.

Still far too expensive for a teacher's budget. Even with the slight discount. This is my third sharpener this year. Hope this one lasts.
