 I’d recommend sticking to the 3.25” I don’t know what ergonomic principle they were following with the handle. It is thin, hard plastic. The bolster extends past the edge, making it less nimble

 It's too early to tell how well they hold their blade and if they can be easily sharpened. If there are any issues I will come back and update this review.  How I review: When I review a product said product automatically starts with four stars as I rarely will purchase anything below four stars.  Haven't used it for long so maybe it will last but it seems like it wouldn't take much pressure to just snap it in two or snap off the point. Sharp but very thin

 The handle is too bulky and the blade is too long. The handle was also slippery and I had to put pressure on the top of the blade with my index finger which became quite uncomfortable. I personally find it a great knife for cutting raw meats, I'm able to slice through a chunk of beef or chicken with little pressure, or in one instance, the side of my finger resulting in 4 stitches and a scar. I had wanted it mainly to core approximately 100 pears, it was too bulky, large, and long for the job and ended up not using it for the pears

Not a paring knife

This will sound odd, but I haven't had a super sharp kitchen knife in a long time and I just (accidentally) touched the base of the blade and cut myself. I'm not going to say it's too sharp (outstanding to cut a tomato), but be aware. It's so light weight that I almost did the same thing to my other hand. Putting a warning that it's really sharp sounds ridiculous, and I don't think I would have paid that any mind, but if you haven't used an exceedingly sharp knife in awhile, know that this one has a sharp blade down to the the hilt and just touching it can cause an accident!

Exceedingly sharp

It has a quality serrated blade that still looks new after 9 months of light daily use. The handle is made of thin and rather slippery plastic, and while the description claims it to be "Fibrox Inspired", as an owner of a Victorinox knife with a Fibrox handle, I can safely say that they're taking some creative liberties with that one. If ergonomics are right up there in importance with blade quality, this isn't the knife for you, but if all you're looking for is a quality blade at a budget price, it's a great option.

 Also for those that wonder about sharpening, the Victorinox web site states sharpening should be at a 30-40- degree angle. This surprised me because the knives that i own that are better quality (Japanese steel) sharpen at a 15 degree angle.  Summary, as a general all around utility knife this one is hard to beat, especially for the price.
