Victorinox 3¼-Inch Paring Knife

The Victorinox paring knife is like $5-10 and the best one there is. The Kiwi Nakiri is a great vegetable knife.

Decided to get a little Victorinox poultry boning knife as I’m butchering an ton of chicken thighs lately. Should hold me over while a wait for a nicer full sized global boning knife to surface on the market place or Kijiji.

This entire series is awesome ( I own the boning and chef knife) and is designed to keep up with wusthof, and it competes well. The paring knife however did not come razor sharp like the other knives did, took some work on my stones but I was able to get it there.

I learned to sharpen using this as I was a home cook with mostly crap knives and didn't want to start out on my J knives. Still sees a lot of use. * Victorinox paring knives - I tend toward these for in hand tasks vs the petty because they're thinner and more flexible.

It’s sharp and small. It’s not meant for doing a lot of slicing and dicing. There’s no heft to the handle. My hand cramps up quickly because there isn’t much to hold into.

It's a very good quality knife, for not a lot of money. There's nothing quite as good below that price point.

Pros: Small, lightweight, sharp blade, good reputation. Good for a magnetic bar in an RV. Con: handle is narrow, like holding a pocketknife.

Victorinox. Was my first knife for a year and it's great.
