So the current estimation is that the valve index 2 will release in 2023 - 2024, I have never had a quest 2 but I have had a rift s, and I have to say the valve index has a higher quality, finger tracking is cool, but not a game changer (unless you intend to play dcs in vr), SDE is bearly noticeable (if you're looking), tracking is way better. Though I'd recommend you have at least a 1070 for a good experience, but I'd recommend a 1080ti, 2080 or 3070 (or better).

Well here's the thing it was good for like 3 days and then it quit working for my pc. It would work and then quit ...work and then quit...and then all of a sudden no more. So i gave it to my friend in germany instead.

I own a valve index and really love it. I'm hoping for a valve index 2, a maybe wireless upgraded version of my current headset would be mind blowing! Yeah I'm really hoping for news soon, definitely going to get it.

The valve index is a great thing but get it from steam because it’s a lot cheaper you get half life Alyx for free and if you brake something you get a free replacement for 2 years

For me, Valve Index Controllers are best, then the Vive Wands, then Quest 2 controllers. Haven't tried WMR or the original Oculus Touch.
