Topping A90

There really don't seem to be any major faults with it. It's pretty competitive at its price for both how it measures and the amount of power it puts ...

So I've been running these Focal Clear Pros with my Topping A90 + SMSL SU-8 and I gotta say, *"Yamate Kudasai"* never sounded so good.

Similar to other comments, one channel dies quite dramatically. The first unit lasted a few months; the replacement lasted less than 1 month! And even at that, with infrequent use. Hoping I can get a refund and find a better amp to work with the Topping D90 MQA. A disappointment and lengthy return p...

- $500 Topping A90 <--dead silent noise floor, some of the cleanest uncolored transparent amp for the money. Plays EXCEPTIONALLY nice with IEM's with zero noticeable noise floor.

They fit me much more than Sony Z1R in both sound, look, and price of course. This year I decided to upgrade to Schiit Bifrost 2, and Topping A90.

I was very happy listening to my headphones via the output of my desktop computer (iMac), but my 'audiophile' friends gently prodded me to investigate improving the sound. After much research I settled on the latest Topping AD combo: D90+A90. Apparently they measure well, I have no idea what this me...

They were good, don't get me wrong, but being able to easily listen to them at a full "99" on the little LED display, it was clear they needed more oomph. As the Topping A90 got on my radar recently, it provided a relatively cheap and cheerful alternative to the usual behemoths that come up when searching for high power headphone amps. As such, *more oomph* was ordered and holy moly, these things opened up. **TL:DR;** PSA: Make sure you power your headphones to the appropriate recommended wattage, because you may be missing out on sh\*t you've already paid for.

This amp is amazing and honestly worth close to twice it's cost. Balanced and single ended performance is incredible, clean and absolutely transparent. Having owned a Mayflower ARC headphone DAC/AMP and a Topping A90, I couldn’t be any happier with this upgrade. The kit took about a week-and-a-half to build, and I’m glad I didn’t rush things through, as it was a fun process! Coming from a novice in soldering (and painting!
