Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2

It's a very nice improvement over its predecessor in a number of different ways, and at $900 US dollars, it's expensive but still good value for money...

Overall, I'm really happy with the value that you get out of this lens and the quality that it produces.

Regardless I think the Sony 24-70 G Master is just not in the running.

The biggest drawback to this lens is that it's not weather sealed. There's only protection at the mount, but not anywhere else. Tamron 28-75 G2: middle ground here in terms of dimensions and image quality. It's better than the Sigma 28-70, but falls a little short of the Sigma 24-70.

It has OSS to help stabilization out, it has a good focal range (35mm + APS-C mode for a 16-52mm range with almost no video quality lost). It's just a very competent lens. You could also opt for a two lens setup and pick up the 20mm F1.8G for landscapes and vlogging, and the Tamron 28-75mm or Sigma 28-70mm for general purpose and behind-the-camera video.

Excellent image quality, I like the build - is plastic but feels very solid almost metal like feel. I haven’t used the Sony gm 24-70 but I have the tamron 28-75 and it’s an excellent lens for half the price. I have the gm 16-35 and I was gunna save for the 24-70 but I needed it right away. Pretty happy with my decision.
