Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM vs Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2

Brighter and sharper than Canon stock len 18-55mm STM. it is much much heavier than Canon one and appears much better build than Canon. Canon one is too plastic and appear cheaply made. I did a comparison shoots with Canon stock len 18-55mm STM and its Ef-s 24mm f2

The Tamron 28-75mm is easily one of the sharpest lenses available for the Sony in its category. As far as I can tell, it is only slightly softer than the over-$2000 Sony 24-70mm for less than $900, although in some cases I have seen it actually beating the Sony in sharpness. The Autofocus has been fixed through easily installed firmware and is now relatively fast. Not the fastest, but definitely not as slow as it was before, and may even be faster than the Sony as well

It feels much more solid and smoother to touch. It doesn't feel too heavy on your camera either, weighing just over half a kilogram or a little under ...

I believe zoom creep is not really a problem for this lens even if I shake The body and lens like so the lens has not creeped a little bit So you prob...

- very good out of camera contrast - ridiculously sharp (especially in the center, quite sharp in the corners, great sharpness throughout range). - one of the smaller zooms. Only the Sony Zeiss 24-70f4 is smaller. - f2

This lens’s weight and dimensions make it only look a bit larger and a bit heavier than the Tamron 17-50mm on paper, but the reality is it feels much bulkier and heavier. This is especially true on lighter DSLRs like the D5600. The focus ring turns as it autofocuses and is coupled to the focus mechanism so if you touch it by accident during auto-focus (which is very easy to do given it’s placement and proportions), the lens produces a high pitched whining sound. I’d imagine that if you held the focus ring from moving during auto-focus for more than a moment it could do some damage

It is a little heavy and if you use it for a long time you end up with pain in the neck, when using the shoulder strip.

As such, the Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 OS represents fantastic value for money. I don't think many people will be disappointed with this lens. Highly recomme...

If you don't want to spend an arm and a leg for the G Master, this lens is definitely worth the bucks.
