Anderton's TV have obviously done it, Pete and the Captain and Strymon themselves have done plenty of videos on all the cool features packed into Volante and I was like, how am I going to approach this? And I think most of you guys that follow me will know that I'm a huge fan of just getting to know a pedal on the spot in the video and just learning how to use it and playing and doing some cool stuff. It's inspiring It's the secondary functions all the different sounds you can create incredible like just hats off I'm I might be biased because I'm a huge Strymon fan and I always use their stuff But like honestly that is one of the most impressive delay pedals I've ever come across and I cannot say enough good things about it You know as I'm sure you can imagine that's what it's like So I urge you if you're a tinkerer and you like get involved with cool sounds or you want that kind of dreamy delay Or you just want something inspiring to support what you do Absolutely get a Strymon Volante like absolutely I'm kind of lost for words because I just feel so good about this pedal and I'm so Inspired by it and I cannot wait to create some music with it You know, you'll know whenever I release some music next and if it's on there because you just be able to tell I'll probably put it all over the place Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this video.  Alright guys, how you doing? It's Rabir. I hope you're all well. So it brings me great

 pleasure to bring you this video because it's been quite anticipated in my world. You know

 that I love Strymon. I've been using Strymon gear for years now. Ever since I first heard

 the timeline I had to get one and then I heard the Big Sky had to get that and the Mobius

 had to get that and I call it the Stryfector on my pedalboard. It's kind of the centrepiece.

 It does almost everything that I do in any band that I'm in, whether it be Tosca or

 Dorje or I guess Frog Leap's different but those two bands in particular, I rely so much

 on those pedals to give me the sounds that I need and this video is really exciting for

 me because it's kind of an evolution of some of those pedals, specifically the timeline

 being the delay pedal that I've used for so many years. Now getting to try out the brand

 new Strymon Volante which is a magnetic tape machine and really I had a little chance to

 play with this at the NAMM show and I was really impressed. I thought it sounded fantastic

 and I had a quick overview of it there with the guys and I was like, that sounds intense,

 there's quite a lot going on and then also getting it here and then having maybe a few

 days, well yesterday and today before filming this video I've been sort of messing around

 just trying to get to know it because there's so many videos out there already. That Pedal

 Show have done a really great in-depth review of this pedal against some other pedals that

 are similar to it. Anderton's TV have obviously done it, Pete and the Captain and Strymon

 So you've got three different types of delay machine so that's the magnetic drum echo then

 you've got the sort of echo plex style and then you've got the reel to reel and they

 all do sound different in their own way. Part of the beauty of old delay machines like that

 was the imperfections, that kind of warble effect and those whirring like sometimes the

 tape had been spliced or been overdubbed so many times that it created imperfections in

 the quality of its repeats and therefore it actually worked out to be a really inspiring

 sound for people and it became a really useful studio tool for people as well. So the thing

 about Strymon and you know this as well as I do is they go to the extreme lengths to

 be able to recreate these things digitally and this is no exception. In fact this is

 one of the nicest sounding delay pedals I've ever heard. I say that full on, I'm saying

 like I love the timeline and it can do so much stuff and it's I guess way more varied

 in terms of the 12 different types of delay that you've got in there. Whereas this is

 focusing on that kind of tape echo but what they've crammed into this pedal is just so

 inspiring and it sounds fantastic. So if we look at the close up camera you can see the

 layout is it looks simple and it is to an extent but there is secondary functions which

 we'll go into but at the minute I had it dialled in with the sound that I was just jamming

 with a minute ago. But the centrepiece are these sort of eight lights and they represent

Strymon Volante
