Great useable fuzz, good solid modulation and a really nice clean delay to balance the dark modulated sound from the Polymoon. Meris Polymoon - Super cool and super complicated at least for me anyway, without the videos I would still be lost trying to get a decent sound out of this thing.

..My longtime favorite being an original Boss DC-2. So I got the Meris Polymoon, was really digging it but not paying much attention to the flanger feature. See, it has built-in parallel stereo flangers that you can apply to the dry signal, before the delays -- you can even turn the Mix knob all the way down and have just flange, no delay. But the flanger can do a lot of wacky and extreme things and it's not a feature I even cared about before buying, so I had this pedal for weeks before tinkering with it and dialing the flanger to a nice subtle LFO sound with no regen and I was like, huh... this is a great chorus sound... Then I started A/Bing with my DC-2.

However stereo i/o would be a great bonus! Rack gear is fine as well and I find these older units being quite overlooked, especially in the reverb category, where I find the current trends in reverb pedals quite boring (often too clean, too shiny and ethereal). Things that have piqued my interest recently have been the Meris Polymoon, EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress, POG2, Chandler Digital Echo and Boss DM-2W.

I know this seems like an odd choice, but the Meris Polymoon is my favorite reverb pedal. It can do beautiful ambience with long decaying trails as well as standard reverb sounds. I compared it against dedicated reverb pedals, including the Mercury 7 and Flint, and the Polymoon sounded much more lush and detailed.

Meris Polymoon is certainly one of my favorite delay pedals. Not so much for Tape or analog delays. But whenever there's a need for a very broad and lush delay, or interesting delay patterns, Polymoon is there to help. Its huge stereo spectrum combined with an amazing phaser pairs pretty well with almost every synth signal.

Love my Avalanche Run but the tap tempo is too inconsistent and redialing every couple minutes for new textures is fun but tedious. I've gone through the ringer with delay pedals because I fall in love with the general sound, use it to death, and become bored with the one trick I like. Ive had a Strymon DIG (the only delay I would consider rebuying), Source Audio Nemesis, Boss DD500, and a Meris Polymoon. Finally landed on the Avalanche Run which I still love, but the tap tempo is very inaccurate and I use a lot of time-specific dotted 8th delay.
