 I remember seeing this bass at NAMM and my jaw dropped because the finish is absolutely insane. Then to compliment that, you have a clear pickguard as well as black hardware, and this is driven by Music Man's own bridge and different hardware too, and I have to say they hold up really well, especially the tuning is actually extremely stable, and it works very well. 4 pounds, a significant difference. And the BFR on the wall back here is 7.4 pounds or something like that. In regards to quality control, this isn't a bad bass

 Now this particular model features an ash body, though if you get a painted body, those are mahogany. So this one has an ash body and a roasted maple neck. That's right, just like the current US Stingray lineup, these have roasted maple necks as well. The pickup is Sterling's own H1 El Niko Humbucker, and you have a three-band preamp
