 Hi guys, my name is Tom Lebaryk, I'm here in Advanced Media Studio in Alcoz with my new

 camera Sony FX9 which I purchased from Advanced Media just a couple of days ago basically.

 The thing that I really like the most about this camera is dual ISO which is 800 and 4000.

 So now we're going to test with my colleague, also filmmaker Luis Grolez, we're going to

 try low light with the candles, three candles lit up and see how camera behaves on a really

 Of course we're going to shoot wide open.

 We have beautiful CP3 lenses, great lenses, great glass and works really nice with the

 So let's try it, one IT shot, yeah and then I will.

 Now we're going to take, turn off our Kino Flow.

 For some night scenes, romantic dinner scenes, this is perfect ISO sensitivity from 4000.

 We're going to check 6400, we're going to check 8000 and 10,000, I mean you can push

 We can try that as well, I wouldn't go that high up anyway but up to 10,000, 12,000 I

 really feel comfortable that the FX9 can handle really well.

 Especially when I shoot stuff in a low light and there are few things, few situations like

 this that happen that you quickly need to shoot something and you don't have time even

 So another thing that I like about this camera is that I can shoot small proxy files in full

 HD on the second card, SD card, so the editor can get files or colorist immediately after

 the shoot and he can start cutting without need to go with the full res files.

 Another cool feature that I really love on this camera is building variable NDs here

 So it's really cool if you are shooting interior and then you go out with the camera to the

 bright day, camera does it for you, the filtration basically.

 When it's so smooth you don't hear it, you don't notice it, there is no any jitter, it

 just puts NDs, whatever is necessary for the outdoor light.

 That's great if you have a camera on a gimbal or a steadicam so you move from interior to

 exterior in one smooth move, you don't need a second motor for the exposure.

 I personally have lots of full frame lenses so it was kind of a necessity for me to move

 to a full frame sensor camera so I can match full frame lenses with a full frame sensor.

 The cool thing about this camera, you can call it like two cameras in one basically

 because you can go to the menu and you can change 6K full frame sensor to super 35, 4K.

 So basically you can still use it as a super 35 if you have lenses that are super 35 or

 if you have already Sony FS7 on some jobs you can use two cameras, Sony FX7 and FX9

 and then you set this camera to super 35 so you have two super 35 cameras next to each

 That's really cool about it that you can switch in between those two modes, full frame and

 Ergonomics are great, it does look a little bit similar to FS7 body wise, it's just a

 little bit shaped, you see it different but the buttons are familiar.

 The menu is almost identical so if you learned how to navigate through the menu of FS7 you

 won't have any hard time learning this menu, there are some more stuff obviously inside

 there but it's typical Sony easy to navigate menu inside.

 And one more thing I want to say a big thank you to Advanced Media who were so, so helpful

 and they gave me the camera like the moment it arrived in Dubai I got one, I didn't have

 to wait for a long time because I was really excited about owning one and even though they

 got a couple of items only to put on display and for the workshop they actually did a spare

 one for me so great guys, very helpful, very informative and thank you Advanced Media as

 always like for the last 10 years since I'm in Dubai I always keep buying all my gadgets,

 all my equipment is from Advanced Media basically.

 At the same time, they will have the Z90 or the Alvin 9, which is a super fast accurate AF, which built into this camera.
