I still have my fully working first day first series PlayStation 2, I remember waiting in front of bestbuy. Tekken tag tournament all the way played that for years

Its good as its advertised. Controller was filthy, nasty, unclean and joystick gets stuck sometimes. The console is very loud. Louder than any of my other ps2 consoles.

When I was around that age I bought my own Playstation 2. ( waited a few years because of the high price ). What a great console that was. A lot of happy gamer years for you!

The PS2 was in decent condition. Only downfall is the product did NOT come with the AV cables as it had mentioned it does. Big let down.

I grew up on R&C on my Playstation 2. I haven't owned a console since my Xbox 360 RROD back in like 2008. This is probably the only game, that would even make me consider buying a console again. Damn it Sony!!!

But PlayStation is a great viable option. He won’t be 8 forever and the switch has games geared to a younger audience. The 360s get red ring of death nowadays bc they’re so outdated. You run the risk of it breaking eventually bc how old it is plus the fact you have to pay 10$/month or 60/yr on Xbox live so he can play online.
