They are correct. Shark does not sell individual parts for repairs they only sell the whole head assembly or body/motor assembly for near the price of a new vacuums.

Anyway...Shark is trash. Had a Shark IQ and it was terrible. Constantly got "stuck" in the middle of a hardwood floor, constantly got lost, and the companion app is a steaming pile of dog shit. Ditch it and get a Roomba or any other highly rated robot vac.

Shark is solid. Had mine 5+ years. If you're going cordless, just do your research as they usually have less power than the corded models.

This is a light and handy vacuum for light-medium duty carpet cleaning. We still use our heavier upright for occasional deeper cleaning. This shark is fine for a quick surface cleaning before guests arise. It's also more effective than the heavier machine for getting into nooks and crannies. However...

I have had it with pulling hair out by hand and having dust and dander go everywhere. Short answer: I think a Shark is a perfectly fine short term (1-4 years) vacuum for regular pickup in a low-fur household.

I love the cordless feature but there should be an indicator of how much battery life is left in the battery. The only indicator is the vacuum just quits in the middle of cleaning. There ought to be a better way.
