I go over to Reddit and find that Shark is a brand people should avoid. All the Shark-related discussion on that includes detailed comments from vacuum repair technicians say that Sharks are built to fail with no replacement parts available. Instead, people on Reddit recommend brands like Sebo, Kenmore, and Hoover for upright vacs.

After researching vacuum cleaners, I think Reddit is the only consistently reliable source for product reviews
I much prefer using the Shark with its dual roller Zero M brush than the old standard floor brush on the Miele. Significantly better for hair.

I accepted it since I didn't want to haggle anymore and it was only $13. But I'm amazed Shark Ninja has managed to turn a customer that has spent $2500ish over the last couple years and was a major brand proponent into someone that will actively advise against people purchasing their products over something so trivial. So, take my advice and steer clear. I was happy with the vacuum and other products while they worked but have zero faith in their ability to stand behind their products.

Advice for cleaning with large dogs? More in comment.
Clean your vacuum once a month and replace the filters twice a year. I used to have this exact Shark and I upgraded a few years ago to a bit of a better model (they’re both great, the old one was just old and falling apart). EVERY MONTH you need to disassemble the vacuum as much as possible and clean it out. Cut the hair from the roller, wash the filters, and remove any debris from the tubes.

Reminder to clean your vacuum regularly. I pulled this much HUMAN HAIR from my mom's vacuum cleaner brushroller.
Shark has a line with self-cleaning brush rolls that combs hair as it vacuums. It is LIFE CHANGING if you shed long hair or live with someone who does. I’ve converted all my friends with long hair and they’re equally obsessed. I’ve had it over a year now and the bottom still looks new.

Your cheap Sharks, Bissels, and Dysons will constantly clog with hair after getting half the floor. You'll burn out the belts and motors very fast. I would go through them every two times I vacuumed. Bagless vacuums and fur suck to clean.
