Samsung Q8DT

Realistically 99% of people are not going to use the TV in a way where this becomes a problem. An example of the viewing that could be problematic would be kids playing a video game all day with a little map stationary in the corner of the screen or a restaurant that has the TV turned on to ESPN and a red ticker is running across the bottom of it all day. Other high end TVs from Costco to consider would be Samsung Q8DT and Sony X90CH though both of these are LED LCD TVs.

Later bought the Samsumg Q8DT for a different room in the house that has light as well. The LG OLED has a wide viewing angle. It looks good from any angle in the room but the picture is definitely not as bright as the Samsung and has difficulty with reflections, especially when viewing at angles. The effect that has on your TV depends on where the light source is compared to your TV.

The Samsung Q8DT is a brighter TV and has an antiglare coating that hands down does a better job mitigating the reflections. If I were going to choose one TV for general purpose, I would choose the a higher end, larger Samsung over the smaller OLED for the same money. The LG CX has a better picture but the Samsung is brighter and does better in a general purpose room.

Set up yesterday was good for devices, input signals and Amazon Prime, but Netflix does not seem to be supported. There is an icon but nothing happens when it is selected. Samsung blames Netflix but I don't really care who screwed up, I just want a TV that I can use to watch Netflix!

Hands down the best tv of the bunch. Remote and software are top notch. Out of the remaining led tvs, the samsung q8dt is for sure the best in the class. Has significantly better viewing angles and overall produces a better picture than the others.
