So, I bought a Samsung remote ($20) that was compatible, and with direct buttons to Netflix, Hulu and Prime, and an honest to goodness numerical keypad, and volume and channel buttons dedicated as such.

  Call me old fashion, but if I want 'channel 2', I prefer to just press the "2" button on the remote, not go into a screen program and move my way through the digital key pad.

  My gripe is that the set up is online, rather than clear printed instructions, and I hate the remote that comes with it.  Same situation with my 65" QLED Samsung.   Check recommend to a friend but only if they have very good hearing.  Samsung techs helpful but cannot solve the problem.

  I said, OK, let's go with that theory.  Especially since I saw the Yamaha actual perform properly with the LG while I saw the Samsung properly control the DVR.

  So, I would see the DVR picture but could not hear anything because the Yamaha was confused about the audio source.  Plus, the remote for the LG was not able to properly control the DVR.  So, another failure for the CEC integration (Samsung and LG are both out at this point in my quest).  Could the issue have been the Yamaha?  I contacted them since this was a new AVR for my rig and they said - "It should just work with any device"

  I purchased the Samsung from Costco knowing I had 90 days to make the return (which I did after going through the paces of trying other brands).  My goal was that the TV must be easy to use for my wife - without having to use 3-4 remotes to get everything up and running and have a much better picture than my 10 year old 44" Visio.  It must only take ONE REMOTE to operate everything!  That required that the eARC/CEC communication work properly with my Yamaha TSR-700 AVR (Great Costco purchase!!!).  Thus, the optical audio was not an option for my rig

Motion looks smooth thanks to its quick response time, it has low input lag, and it has FreeSync VRR support to reduce screen tearing. Although you don't get the same perfect blacks like on an OLED, it still has an excellent contrast ratio, and its local dimming feature helps improve native contrast ratio.

Unfortunately, its local dimming feature performs worse in Game Mode than outside of it as it raises the black levels and colors look washed out, but it still performs decently. Also, this TV has some uniformity issues with dirty screen effect in the center, which could get distracting while watching sports. On the plus side, it has fantastic out-of-the-box accuracy, meaning you won't need calibration. All in all, it's the best LED TV with a 120Hz panel.

 If you have followed me before, i've always been a fan of the samsung remote and the apps on this tv, so that bluetooth, remote over the past four or five years, has been one of my favorites and this year it gets even better. Just overall blooming is better, but samsung's. Anti-Reflective coating, which i failed to mention earlier, helps from viewing at an angle and it really knocks down the reflections of light better than any other brand in the tv world. As you can see here, this light is being dominated by the samsung coating and with the brightness added in it's just no contest

 What'S going on, i think this is just another sign that samsung continues to find ways to make it easier on their bottom line instead of for their consumer, but they do have the screen covered with a plastic layer to protect in case it gets scratched before or After you open the packaging - and they have done this on some tvs last year, but they should have it on every tv. QN90A Samsung Neo QLED 4K TV - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

I have a new samsung 65qn90a, and the refresh rate appears much lower than I'd expect. There's very noticable judder in certain scenes on the panel with both the internal apps and when using an external fire-stick.

 the tv gets it wrong. period. the sound passthrough also pops consistently. i don't recommend this set

  the contrast in these highlights fall short of the hdr capabilities of the television and look horrendous.  i'm watching films i've shot on apple movies, and amazon prime apps. the tv gets it wrong. period

As a filmmaker, I recommend you skip this set.

49" screen size: I have an autonomous 53" inch smart desk and this monitor took half the width of the desk. The viewing distance was too close for me. I did manage to find a way to put the PC case down using an under-desk mount and also increased distance by using under table keyboard tray but the viewing distance was not per my liking. The screen size is too big and I had to move my head constantly between the two ends of the monitor and I did not find it to be a pleasing experience

Samsung Odyssey G9 Experience

 Paid extra to get a sound bar that helped, did not fix. Finally got it synced when I turned off Dolby sound. You need to fix this.

) The remote keeps getting disconnected and the ONLY way to get it working again is to unplug the tv for 30 seconds (you really need to wait this long) and then press/hold the undo & fast forward buttons (really super annoying)
