 If you are a video editor like me, I suggest you choosing basic color presses for more natural working colors. Speaking of the settings, you can adjust quite a few of them using the rotating knob on the back of the monitor. Besides detailed image and variety of other settings, you can select VIP mode if you want to use for example Windows and Mac machines at the same time. As far as the design, the monitor looks great and I love the combination of white and silver plastic

The device is solid and it does not feel cheap by any means, but it would have been nice if Samsung used aluminum on the front bezel to give a little bit of our premium look and feel. The device has two HDMI ports, one display at one PC part also with the right two USB 3

 You also get a DisplayPort to a mini DisplayPort adaptor which comes really useful for my MacBook Pros Thunderbolt port. In addition, there is a VESA mounting plate in case you want to mount the monitor on the wall. Lastly, there is a bunch of paperwork including a color calibration report. When it comes to the design, this monitor is just beautiful

Samsung CF791 Quantum Dot GAMING Monitor REVIEW

While I had a 100hz Samsung C34F791 beforehand and I wasnt really able to tell as much of a difference between that and my old Samsung Q9FN which was 4K60Hz, with the C1 it's actually a night and day difference and has made me much more aware of the difference (with other displays as well). The increase in smoothness and responsiveness is simply massive, and when I had to run the TV at 4K60HZ mode when my HDMI 2.1 cable broke, I absolutely loathed the 60HZ refresh rate. There's also no situation in which I'd consider getting a display without VRR anymore

My questions are:

1. Has anyone been in a similar situation where the 120 hz and VRR made a really noticeable difference in gaming?

2. Are there any features on the C2 that would make getting that model a smarter choice? The reading I've done on the C2 pretty much just seems to be some improved brightness with no real change in gaming features.

For me personally, this monitor is the most aesthetically pleasing ultrawide in existence, blowing away the competition’s tacky, ‘gamer’ aesthetics in favor of sharp, clean-cut minimalism.  Curve: I personally found the curve to be immersive for my day to day usage. I sit approx

 There are no logos or obtrusive branding present anywhere on the panel, save for a small, barely noticeable grey ‘Samsung’ logo on the front. The back is a glossy white, which is of no particular interest to me since my screen is up against the wall.  If you’re sitting 3ft from the screen and lean over a bit, the entire image washes out. If you use more than one monitor or have a corner desk or just have a need to move around in your work space, be aware than the viewing angles on this monitor are very limited.  Stand: My CF791 came slightly crooked out of the box. After resetting the mounting screws, I was able to get it to an acceptable orientation

A Great New Ultrawide... With Caveats

 The CHG90 was a little over 80 PPI, whereas the CF791 nearing 110. You're going from 144Hz to 100Hz, and it's noticeable, but still a substantial upgrade from 60Hz. Realize that you'll need to set your graphics driver to output at 100Hz, as the monitor's "native" refresh rate when initially connecting to your machine is set to 60Hz. Once you set it to 100Hz, though, you don't have to change it again, and any V-Sync capable application will read it as 100Hz

Great monitor, 'jack of all trades'

 The circular base could benefit from a QI charging pad like another monitor I saw, but no big loss there. The stand arm itself is has some built-in hidden channels that your cables can be routed through, making for a clean appearance. And now for the monitor itself. Visual Aesthetics: I was very worried that the curve would be too aggressive

 Now for the part that made me return it. I'll start by saying that I've exclusively used IPS displays in the past. While this screen does look pretty nice, it just cannot compete with even lower end IPS panels. Even with Samsung's "Quantum Dot" technology, the colors still seem washed-out to my eye

 2) 60hz refresh rate. I ALMOST pulled the trigger on the Acer Z35p before coming across this monitor for $550 on an Amazon warehouse deals listing "used - very good". I was blown away at that price - almost half of what I was going to pay for the Z35p so I figured g sync wasn't worth that much money.  Let's just say I'm thoroughly satisfied

 Nonetheless still love the higher refresh rate and would have a hard time going back to 60hz.  This was also my first VA panel, and I can't for the life of me figure out why IPS is all the rage in the gaming community..

Zero backlight bleed, great contrast, beautiful monitor!
