I spent a lot of time, in fact. For the first time ever (literally), I bought a color calibration tool and used it with a professional providing guidance to ensure I correctly followed each step. Not even the color calibrator is able to make Dell 27" Gaming Monitor S2721DGF color-accurate! Not for work, not for gaming, not for casual activities. There is no height, no angle, no setting that resolves my issue

Now for the part that made me return it. I'll start by saying that I've exclusively used IPS displays in the past. While this screen does look pretty nice, it just cannot compete with even lower end IPS panels. Even with Samsung's "Quantum Dot" technology, the colors still seem washed-out to my eye

4k was not an option because of cost and lack of HDMI 2.1. so I went on 1440p. Next I found a big issue with current monitor and console

9 million pixels fast enough. I could not be happier with this purchase. it evens seems like the Samsung CF791 LCD can run games faster at 3440x1440 resolution than my old HDMI monitor did at 1080p resolution.

Personally, I'd prefer the fast response times over deep blacks, but those that game mostly in the dark might be put off by the contrast and also IPS ...

While I had a 100hz Samsung C34F791 beforehand and I wasnt really able to tell as much of a difference between that and my old Samsung Q9FN which was 4K60Hz, with the C1 it's actually a night and day difference and has made me much more aware of the difference (with other displays as well). The increase in smoothness and responsiveness is simply massive, and when I had to run the TV at 4K60HZ mode when my HDMI 2.1 cable broke, I absolutely loathed the 60HZ refresh rate. There's also no situation in which I'd consider getting a display without VRR anymore
