This Is Everything You Need To Know About The Rolex Air-King [REVIEW]
The Rolex Air-King Ref 116900 is an interesting watch. It’s a steel sports Rolex, yet it doesn’t sell for multiples over retail on the preowned market. Not yet, anyway. It has a lot of history behind it yet it’s lesser known than its more popular siblings. It also offers a lot of bang for your buck....

[Rolex Air King] My first Rolex to commemorate my big year!
The salesperson told me I just missed an Air King by a few hours! Luckily though about a week or two later she emailed us and told us one just came in so we ran as fast as we could to pick this beautiful bad boy up!. I know a lot of people don’t like this Rolex but I’m a commercial pilot and the history behind this watch is really special to me. Also the green and the yellow pop and looks so unique imo!.

Top of the line Rolex
This is my fourth Rolex and so much more comfortable to wear I hardly know I have it on. The Air King keeps very precise time whereas my others would lose several minutes over a couple weeks. It is an attractive watch.I really like this watch. Maybe the last Rolex I will need.

[Rolex Air-King] something not very common on this channel. Love the green and yellow!
In my humble opinion, the latest Air-King is a great daily wear!. I have removed the bracelet to avoid too much desk diving marks and added this green everest band. I adore the green and yellow colours on the dial, not very common with Rolex to add that much on it. And the green second hand is great to read the exact time.

[Rolex] Advice and opinions sought on Air King
I think the Air King is super ugly. I wouldn’t pay $1000 for one, let alone above that. Literally every other Rolex looks better, including the black dial explorer, which is the second worst looking Rolex money can buy. Get one of those colorful OPs or something.

[Rolex Air King 11690] 31st birthday present to myself. First Rolex, absolutely love it.
This is my new Rolex Air King ref 11690. I loved this watch since it was released and after some saving over the last year or so have managed to pick one up. This is my first luxury watch and buying experience and I think I might now be hooked. I was looking to get one for my 30th but didn’t manage to save enough by then so it’s a year late!.

[Rolex] So, this just happened (story inside)
While the Air King offers a lot of value since it has the same anti-magnetic protection of the Milgauss (hell it practically is a Milgauss except for the different dial, crystal and the fact that the bracelet doesn’t have polished center links) I just don’t find it attractive. The Explorer 1 is a classic and it has a truly timeless design. I don’t think you can find a better Rolex for the price.

[IWC] I need advice
I find it a smooth casual watch which may be worn in various occasions. I happen to own a Rolex Air King 116900 which I really like as well, but which I tend to wear a bit less since I have acquired a Datejust 36.
